I agree with you and he can be dark as seen in Beauty And The Beast, that Richard White who voiced Gaston in The 1991 Disney Classic said that Evans did a better job than him as Gaston. Also I heard rumors that Luke Evans and Universal are in talks about him reprising his role as Dracula for The Dark Universe.

I enjoyed the movie, Luke was very good playing the mass murdering psycho but I gotta ask why didn't they call the old bill? I get that they are bad ass criminals but after their main muscle is gutted like a Tywin Lannister deer and their leader is left as a bag of meat on the porch i'd be calling in fucking navy seals if I could get them!

I love Luke Evans, but I am not sure if I want to see this movie. Horror is not exactly my kind of movies. (Dracula was brilliant though - well, not too much horror there)
