Slowly slowly. Maple smelling her foot at end nicely. Hard not to show favouritism towards any of them, so they don't get jealous. Piko remembers when Maple turned up, Maple too young to remember. haha

I would sit on the ground with Luna in my lap. This way Luna feels more comfortable and Maple will be less prone to attack her.

It's fascinating because you can see that Maple absolutely seeks to understand the new kitty, but one movement of Luna and her instincts kicks in. Piko was like : Naaaah I'm out ! A little bit of time should do the trick.

I think the baby is very scared of Maple bc Maple moves so quickly and gets so close to her, she must be huge in the kitten's eyes :( poor bby

My humble guess: since Luna was kept in your bedroom, now it is full of her smell, and Maple is not so chill because she feels that her territory is taken. Maybe try to sleep with Maple for a night, trying to mix girls smell, and hopefully they get used to each other❤

Piko be like: "I'm stayin' outta this one" 😸😸. But yeah it seems disheartening the Maple encounter, but they were going to have to meet each other eventually, so its still a step taken. I think Piko's nonchalance was a good sign but its still up in the air because they haven't met face to face (with no barrier in between). With Maple it'll just take a little bit of time that's all. Good job Piko being the wise old man lol 😽😸😻❤

It seemed like curiosity-then defense at first with Maple against Luna, like tit for tat territorily, but she wasn't going after Luna on the bed at the end of the vid.

You must have a very quiet house. The cats never call for you, and you lightly call for them.

As I said yesterday you should have put Luna in her carrier and sit her downstairs with the other cats. They can check each other out and get used to each other. Maple was licking Luna's paw. That is a good sign. You have to let them figure it out. Luna is laying down and exposing her belly which is allowing Maple to be dominant which is the way of the animal world. Cat owner for over 60 years here.

The carrier might make Luna feel safe. She's creating unnecessary tension. Maple is reacting to it. Also meeting in the bedroom is a problem because Luna sees that as her territory.
