Which pedal was your favorite here? Note: I'm aware that the powertube monitor was lighting up. My tubes will be replaced soon. However, the amp sounds fine so it likely won't affect the sound at all as it's probably just running at half power.

ENGL pedal is the most agressive and dirty, not so smooth and modern. I need one

Great sounds! The Gehenna pedal from Lichtlaerm Audio is my favorite, for me personally, it sounds just a little bit better than the other two pedals. Great video as always! 😊🤘

That was so cool. Thanks for the focused review of the Tube Driver. Very helpful.

There's a subtle richness and pleasant fizz going on with the Gehenna that really made it stand out in a great way to me. Cool feature on this amp that I wasn't aware of before.

Great breakdown of this feature, been watching a lot of your vids to make myself a list of ballpark amps i wanna try before I buy and I've been heavily leaning into Engl for a while now. Thanks for making these vids in the manner that you do, it's super helpful.

Gehenna was my fav pedal, it just tightened it up perfectly without sounding stiff.

Not that this is super related, but I just ran my Revv G4 pedal through the return of my Fireball 100, and even though ive ran it through multiple other returns of different amps of mine, I was blown away at how great it was through the FB100. Nice work, Jon!

What an amazing amp! Just when you think it couldn't get any better... Killer feature, for sure.

again a great video ... I like your videos and tests ... but based on your first comments .. which are you 3 favorite tube amps .. one is this Engl ... and the others .. and of course the Lichtlaerm is the burner .. I love nearly everything from Daniel

As always, good video Jon. In case you lack some ideas for new video it would be great to see a the new Softube Engl Savage Mk2 versus Engl Savage Mk1 from Plugin Alliance. Especially with baritones and 8 strings. You are the best a dialing tones and I know you do like Engl a lot, so that would be awesome.

The only video I have come across that showcases this "hidden" channel, very useful! Is there a need to say which pedal sounded better when you always make everything sound great?
@johnfinlay49636 ай бұрын
I really love your channel . 61 and getting back into playing again. Sold my old Laneys 20 years ago and now kicking myself. I am buying a new rig . Head and 2x12 cab. These Engl amps are very impressive. Love their sound. So i am gonna get the Fireball 25 . In your opinion should i get the matching Engl cabinet? Thanks again for all your videos , its really brought back the need for me to have power again , the Line 6 i have is not cutting it anymore. lol My favorite pedal was the Empress Heavy Menace

Ok now I have to say it: I use this Chanel on the e670 mk1 with my line6 helix engl Sim. It's unbelievable good.

That's an expensive power amp! I'd love to see some comparison with the same setup into a tube power amp like the Fryette or Synergy, and through a solid state power amp like the Powerstage or Pedal Baby next.
@MetalheadOv6666 ай бұрын
Ive had or tried all of these mentioned and the KSR pa50 50w tube power amp blows them all away! Only one I haven’t tried is the synergy but had a Freyette powerstation and he designed the synergy 5050 so basically same thing.
@seanmichael84116 ай бұрын
@@MetalheadOv666 I've seen a lot about the KSR lately. Going to check it out... In the market for a tube power amp to pair with the hx stomp based fly rig. TY for the heads up.

Your wallet better jingle if you wanna get that Engl. But is it worth it? Absolutely!

Any plans on comparing this to the Prometheus defeat switch? I realize they are slightly different approaches, but would be interesting to hear the tonal difference between those two approaches :) Like using the same pedal through both of their respective solution :)

Okay, nearly every dude who's in the high gain amp modeling KZbin space has one of these amps, it's incredibly rare. Why is no one doing captures of this thing? I mean seriously, how useful is this effects Loop thing going to be for all the people that don't have this amp.?

What kind of witchcraft is this? How are you able to test so much stuff AND write such badass riffs, ad nauseam?
