Bro, this is something real. I don’t know about Ontario but me and my Wife with our daughter are in Surrey BC have just arrived a month ago and believe it or not we have reached to over 50 stores in person and over 100 online applications and have got no positive response yet. My wife is on open work permit she can work full time, has experience from India, is ready to work at any kind of business but yet are not able to get job here. I do not know what is the reason but I have seen students in my university who are jobless from last 4-5 months. Plus, most of the so called Indian and punjabi (desi) store owners say it straight to your face that we only hire people from our reference or known. Why don’t they understand that where are those people going to work who do not have any relatives in Canada like us. Harry bro if you have answer for this, please reply!
