I completely understand Queenslanders being upset. Their clubs can't win premierships. They can usually only win origin off the back of the ref and last night Klein did absolutely everything for them and they were still no match. We might have to go back to calling the comp NSWRL.

Slater picking his team based solely on personal opinion is going to hurt QLD. He clearly doesn't like David Fafita and has an unhealthy fixation on Reece Walsh. Walsh's speed doesn't compensate for his softness and lack of experience, as proven by his unimpressive performances in big games. For example, in last year's Grand Final, Walsh basically handed Cleary the winning try. Additionally, anyone watching the NRL this year would know that Reed Mahoney should be chosen over Harry Grant, who has played average all year. Mahoney is playing at his best, plus, he's an A-grade smart ass who consistently gets under the skin of key players, making him perfect for Origin.

Samoa is a T2 nation, they are mostly born here but if a NZ/PI/Eng player comes to Aus before 15 I think they qualify for origin. Me, I reckon you play for the state you were born in. Last year the toads had 2 NSW born, 2 NZ born and a handful of PI born, I can't be bothered looking for this year. Tino is NSW born, Ezra, Gi, Billy Moore all NSW born, so many blue toads .......
