I live in Burnley. My 83 year old mother was in Home Bargains and a person who she felt had come off a boat, asked her to help reach something from a shelf… mum felt sorry for them and in spite of her own health challenges, she did. When she got to the till the £400 , Christmas money for all of the grandchildren… she had just taken from bank ( we know! We have told her a million times)… had been stolen from her inside pocket. This was 2 weeks ago. She was so ashamed to tell us, we only just found out. Police informed. Nothing done and a note has been made of the incident

We have the same problem in Canada though - for several years now the immigrants ( both legal & illegal) have been housed in. 4 and 5 star hotels and given a per diem for food, etc all the while we have homeless veterans and others born in this country. It is bloody ridiculous and I believe it will eventually lead to civil war.

My MP did have a Ukrainian family living in his constituency house, not sure for how long, but seeing as he doesn’t live there, it wasn’t an issue.
