Kikuno is amazing how he can calmly walk into others space (maai), take control and then easily counter attack from that. He is a master of being calm, controlling distance and body awareness.
I'd like to see how you guys would contend with a boxer, the pugilistic kind. the boxer should be at a disadvantage because they don't kick. as I'm watching this there seems to be no flank defense. also leading with the strong side and focusing on the center line seems a tactical disadvantage to me. I'm not criticizing simply making some superficial comparison. Kikuno sensei's continual advancing creating pressure on Kouketsu sensei is very effective. we call that ring cutting in boxing. I'm excluding wrestling or grappling joint manipulations here just kicks and punches.
