You can technically play Dimensional Fissure in this deck since most of the times your monsters wont hit GY, if they get outed either by banish, bounce, or spin. Sending to GY effect is very rare so have fun with it.

Its a bit bad that I got planned what to buy next. Honestly, having a going second deck that its also not too expensive to build right now is quite valuable. As a sugestion and seeing that the mikanko are lvl 3, it could be good to include cicada king on the extra in case you can't otk. Has decent defense, has a monster target negate eff and you can either boost its defense even more or revive maxx c (which I suppose its a bit of extra material on field or you can use the spell to bounce it back to the hand lol)

So… played the TCG online via simulator and ran into a Mikanko Kaiju deck… I always thought of them as a gimmicky going second deck before then… after that best of 3 and dealing with 2 gameciel negates + the snatch steal and the trap (which isn’t in master duel yet) I have newfound respect for this archetype 😵‍💫

It’s very efficient. If you start with one of the UR equip spells you pretty much have everything you need to set off the combo.

You can search Double Edged Sword from Hidden Armory. Equip it with your opponent’s monster, and then attack, the opponent will take damage twice, meaning if they have any monster with 2k+ ATK, they got killed instantly with an attack.

Yeh esp considering how easy it is to get the ritual mikanko out, doesn’t even need an equip for itself to finish them off. Very fast, hard to predict kill. It you drew a kaiju it’s even easier.

From what I can tell, when Mikanko is fully set up, the only thing that can break through is destroying the back row or negate the monsters on the field. So other boss monsters like Shooting Majestic is gonna be a doozy to go up against "if" you don't have the proper removals or counters.

It has to be pretty specific effect negation, since you don’t need to activate any of the mikanko monster effects to get a win. This deck has no defense against stuff like banishment, and very limited protection against opponents stealing control (though it’s easy to counter). But yeah back row removal is bad because this deck lives and dies by equip spells. If you don’t have an equip spell in my starting hand or a card that can access one from your deck, you might as well resign right there.

I personally played a Runick Mikanko deck that has performed extremely well IRL, you use Hugin to protect your backrow and if your opponent tries to win by stalling you can just deck them out.

Like a raigeki and puts kaiju on boards so open can't inperm or use possible Architype combo traps and you can use blue or red to summon another Mika ko and return your kaju to re use next turn. Hope that helps It also had a otk line but to much and need 2 other cards

Any chance you have more replays for non ideal games? ie having to play first or playing against labrynth who just set traps first turn and has no monsters on field or graveyard. I wanna give the deck a try, but hesitant over not being able to visualize how to handle situations like those

It would be good an extra replay of a bad scenary of playing first, but on both cases are entirely situational: The first scenario is quite unlikely that happens unless you get a coin flip loss vs another going second deck. And the one vs a full backrow scenery is kinda impossible to deal outside of adding extra backrow hate or playing some free high lvl summons along with shien spy.

You can otk with an empty field, just need to get 2 mikankos (any mikanko + the ritual ) and the green mikanko equip + double edged sword Just go to Battle with the mikankos The little mikanko equipped with The green equip and the double edged hits first for 4k then use the green equip effect to bounce the little mikanko so double edged sword goes to graveyard then use the ritual mikanko effect to equip herself with double edged sword and hit for 4k and game

Playing Slumber with only 3 kaijus is not a good idea, you need 2 different names in your deck to activate it. If you end up drawing 2 or a runick player banish 2 of your 3 kaijus the card is dead. 5 kaijus is the recommended amount to slot Slumber in your deck. Other than that very clean list 👍

The chance to draw 2/3 kaiju is only 5% going second (9% if you draw pot for the 2 extra draws). So already thats low, but now you need to factor in drawing those two AND drawing one of two copies of slumber which at that point the odds are COMPLETELY against you. (its a 9% chance to draw 1 slumber 1 kaiju, god knows how low of a chacne 2 kaiju is). 3 kaijus is fine with 2 slumber. Only downside is if you are in a long game then it might come up but we are playing yugioh and an otk deck, long games rarely exist lul

I have played Mikanko for idk hundreds of games already. To those that wanted to try Mikanko, this advice is for you. While it all seems smooth and good in the video, this is not a live stream or live replay, in other words you only get to see how the games he won, not the games he lost. Mikanko is STILL a formidable deck going second no doubt but well it's not always a happy go lucky game. 1. if you can't get lava golem or kaiju out in your 2nd game, it's most likely game over unless you can overcome the idk how many millions of negates the opponent has (I'm not joking, I got all 3 water spell negated, HECK we need more water spell). 2. Forget about maxx C but do still put 3 in, I'm just saying. I did like an 8 hr run, maxx C appears in my starting hand maybe like 7 times out of maybe 30 games ?. Out of 7 times, 5 of it got negated by grave and ash blossom. So yeah forget about your maxx C. But hey at least we can use our mayo later right ? 3. If you can't clear their monster and you want water spell it off, good luck dealing with their trap card who will take their own mobs off board before you can swap out your hu li or ha re 4. Those trap card ? The storming mirror ones and idk how many other different quick spell or trap that change your Mikanko to face down and wreck your equip spells. They will come, I give you my word. It will come 5. If you can't otk on your second turn, harpies will come for you. Mark my words, I already lost count how many harpies that wipe my girls panties and rape them afterwords Final advice : if you can't get your lava golem out or kaiju out, just surrender. Save time for the next duel because trust me all 6 cards in your hand will get negated

I have to say that I absolutely despise the current format. There are so many Kaijus and Lava Golems going about, that the game feels incredibly sacky. It isn't so bad in tournaments since people prefer consistency over win-loss ratio, but it's absolutely terrible on Ranked.
