I know these videos are a little old because of backlog but I like how surprised Bosh is for BUG doomsday. It’s been pretty common in the past few weeks just because of how well veil lines up against a Dimir meta with lots of scam discard - mtggoldfish suggests it’s in about half of recent doomsday builds.

I believe the backlog is a little down right now actually. These videos are recorded only a day or two in advance right now iirc. You can kinda tell by seeing whatever he tweets and comparing it to when the video comes out.

My first thought in the deck building screen was “6 land cycle cards and a really tiny amount of actual lands in the deck, this is not gonna go well, mega greedy” and then the first two hands having zero lands in each lol

Urza's Destiny and Urza's Legacy both have castable Beebles. There's also been a Beeble in 3 Un-sets, though the newest one (Bamboozling Beeble) is Legacy legal.

To your point at the end of round 3, these are some of my favorite games where the win con becomes being just marginally less dysfunctional than your opponent. I’m a big fan of the game Dominion as well and find a twisted glee in really crap card sets that leave both players basically just rolling in the mud and scrounging for points.

There are 3 black-bordered beebles: Bouncing Beebles (3 mana 2/2 artifactwalk), Bubbling Beebles (5 mana 3/3 enchantmentwalk), and the new Bamboozling Beebles (1 mana 1/1 protection from robots and can re-roll dice). The first 2 are from Urza’s Block, but the new one is from Unfinity

I don't know if this would ever actually be correct (as in, if there exists any gamestate where the land is valuable enough to justify it), but there's a silly line around 9:50 where you Daze your own Reanimate to pick up Underground Sea and save it from getting wasted. EDIT: I'm also surprised there wasn't any talk of hardcasting Grief around 29:30; you mention another land letting you do that later, but it was an option instead of firing off the wasteland?

Mulliganing low and casting your cantrips for lands is the whole point to Xerox. You get your lands first and then you won't draw any more lands because the deck is mostly not lands. You use your cantrips to get the lands and then cantrip for nonlands. This deck should play 14 lands.

That’s not right. Keeping 1 landers and letting cantrips get you what you need from there is what Xerox is about. Mulling to 5 for your first mana source is just bad.

Assuming you mean Leyline of the Void, that's questionable. Leyline will make Murktide, Troll, and Grief worse and probably prevent them from casting Murktide and Troll, but you still have to worry about Bowmasters, Brazen Borrowers, and even hardcast Griefs. It's good if you need to bring in cards to replace something that's outright bad in the matchup, but you can't mulligan to Leyline of the Void and expect to just beat them.
