Can G-accon connect QBO to Excel? I don't have much love for google sheets. I would rather only have to master one spreadsheet tool.

Not yet, but we are working on it. There is a workaround: G-Accon has a feature to automatically convert reports to Excel. Alternatively, use PowerQuery to connect Google Sheets to Excel.
