Thanks for these ideas! I’m paying down debt and making a colorful chart with markers to show my progress each month

Wonderful! I love debt trackers so much and it is fun to make them colorful. I saved all my old ones to remind me how far we have come. Good luck on meeting your goals!

Yes! I am going that all month during my no spend. Cleaning, wiping down, vacuuming each drawer and looking at what I have. I will do this I have the urge to buy and go for a 10 min walk

Wonderful, cheers to you. Cleaning is a great addition to the list, beyond just cluttering taking care of what we have is a great positive enforcement. Cheers to you and good luck!

I’m doing a no spend 2025! The hardest part is keeping my husband on track. We each have an allowance so we use that for our extra spending, and I used to be his enabler when he wanted things. So I’ve had to change that about myself.

Oh wow, that is incredible. A no spend year is somewhere in my future but not sure when! My no spend month was just for myself but I do have the same habit of wanting to say "yes go ahead and spend that" when I probably should say, let's wait until next month. Good luck and I hope you report back with what you learn!

Great tips! Love the screensaver one, I haven't heard that one before. It's good to have a lil reminder of your goals every time you pick up your phone, really helps emphasise what it is you're doing and why you're doing it.

Oh, I am so glad to hear the video was helpful. Yes, even with the best of intentions it is nice to have external forces reminding us of our goals to keep ourselves accountable.

Doing a low spend year for 2025. My house needs a new roof, and I am determined to pay for it in cash. Decluttering, organizing and deep cleaning the house will remind me that I already have everything I need. I mark the days I don't spend any money on my paper calendar - looking at it motivates me to keep going.

@@kell1408 I'm cheering you on! We had to replace our roof two years ago, incredible how much it costs! Having paper trackers are very motivating to me as well, helps to have that motivation in plain sight and so rewarding to cross off those days! And your decluttered extra clean house will match your shiny new roof!😀

Hi! For the month of December, I decided to do a pantry challenge. We still shopped for perishables and food we ran out of, but it has been eye-opening as to how many meals we could eat from the basic staples already in our pantry, fridge, and freezer. Our household includes two adults and two cats, but my husband loves to feed the birds in our backyard. Birdseed and peanuts. Still, we have with the pantry challenge reduced our grocery budget from an average of $550.00 to $385.00. My goal is to keep grocery spending to $350.00 to $400.00 for $2025. That's my challenge! Thanks for your suggestions!

I am impressed by your current grocery budget and your goal, amazing! In January (actually starting today) my goal is to see how long I can go without going grocery shopping since my childcare children don't return until January 6. Cheers to using what we already have!

I am going to try and do a low buy for January/February/March. This will involve only buying things I need to make what I already have to make a meal. No additional toiletries or cleaning products. I intend to try making my own cleaning products as things run out. Apart from the cost and the chemicals in cleaning products there is also the issue of storing all these products. As far as cloths shoes and household items these are all No buy.

@@patmartin9727 A low buy quarter, wonderful! Making cleaning products is a great idea. I just use dawn dish soap mixed with water for most cleaning and vinegar and water for windows. Bleach for sanitizing. There are some really fun recipes for cleaning products, as I'm sure you know. Wishing you the best of luck!
