very informative, i would love to see the 2006 bluebird system because i am having issues with mine.

May be similar? It would need to have the key to activate. What's happening with your Bluebird system?

@@MechanicsHubdotCom I unhooked and pulled the wire back to the box and now I can't start it. I rebooked the kill switch but it still doesn't work. I need to bypass the system and I talked to a local mechanic and he told me to put a jumper wire in place of the vandal relay but this did not work either.

@@ramblerrob2822 since the vandalock interrupts the starter circuit there will be either a switch or a relay to do this. Is all the circuitry in the compartment above the entrance door? I'm not familiar with Bluebird. When I want to bypass the vandalock on our International buses the 2 wires going to a micro switch have to be joined together. The micro switch is controlled by an electric servo cylinder connected to a linkage/lever. This all happens using the vandalock key on the outside of the entrance door. I'm thinking your Bluebird would be somewhat similar? Keep posting here with more info.

@@MechanicsHubdotCom bluebird has the vandal relay hidden in a panel behind the driver side windshield wiper. The kill switch was located on the emergency exit and it only had one wire to it which when locked broke the ground and grounded the wire when unlocked. I've since tried grounding the wire but it still isn't working. I removed all alarm wires which ended up only being one wire. I dont know if something else had something to do with the ignition lockout. My bus has a handicap door as well as the emergency exit but it didn't have any lock on it. I'm not sure how to access the back of the vandal relay in order to trace its wires.

@@ramblerrob2822 the ground goes through the switch and the bus body if it only has one wire. Have you tried running the wire at the door switch to the battery ground terminal? It might be a stretch with a long string of wire but worth a try. If there's any kind of resistance that could cause an issue. If the relay is triggered by a ground I'm wondering if it's working properly? A coil in the relay will open or close a circuit and in this case to the starter and is there an alarm when the vandalock is on with ignition on?

Would this work on a 2002 DT466 international school bus?

On my Interrnational school bus the problem I have is that only two of the terminals were connected to wiring (one black, one white) and the key was lost, so I got me a replacement lock but I can't find any reference on how to connect the wiring to the A/B/C/D terminals. Do you have a video or instructions on that? I'd like to get the vandal lock working correctly now that I am converting it into a skoolie motorhome.

So what is the purpose of having this? That rear door isn’t supposed to be locked so why do they install this?

*coughs* Where does one obtain such awesome system?
