What’s interesting is that the track of this has almost no EDM, and you can actually hear what Yinu is playing, While this instead is her being slowly drowned out by it as her mother takes control. Also interesting is when she said that they were ruining Yinu’s performance, SHES the one literally destroying the stage. Even when Yinu says to wait. Edit: Something else I just realized. Yinu’s mother is so big-because she’s the thorny rose bush that controls the rose. Yinu herself is the roses, while the mother is the branches and thorns. That’s why she’s so big!!! Also if you take the name Yinu and look at what it means in Chinese (even though the development team is in Malyasia a lot of the characters have accents when speaking English that are very common in countries bordering or on the South China Sea) it means "Righteous Anger" or "Adopted Daughter" or "Foster Daughter" which both seem to apply to Yinu herself. She was adopted by a mother who is pure EDM and raised to be a prodigy, and she has a righteous anger in her heart to defend her music.

there's this dubstep track i loved called carcosa that was a mega collab with a few artist and guess what it TOO was a mash up of classical rock (in its case metal) and dubstep with some orchestra chorus thrown in it as well, it was done so well and i dont hear that kind of song in dubstep until like NOW in a game that im instantly in love with. The whole point of this long thing is I agree with you fully we dont just need one version we need like multiple versions of this song (hell the whole games ost while we are at it) because each part makes the songs so amazing rather its single or all together!

My one issue is i kiiiinda wish the fight was harder. Like that The boss had more defense since Mayday just blows through her HP, and that her mom did more damage. The player took an attack smack in the middle and it barely did much damage, especially with the constant healing

Am the only one who thinks the symbolism would be better if the Mother put Yinu in a golden cage or something instead of merely holding her up with the puppet strings? Visually, a cage would better show the Mother keeping her daughter locked up (kind of like a songbird) while also looking like it would protect Yinu herself from the player's attacks. Because honestly the way the notes often target Yinu and the way the piano gets knocked around, it really does look like the child is getting hurt in this. Maybe have Mother put the piano in a gilded cage with a big lock on the front (kind of like lock on the front of the gate) and have the player's attacks target the locks. Then, when the locks break, the door starts to swing open, Mother quickly moves to keep the door closed, and then puts more locks on the cage door as the fight progresses until the finale.

However i hope they fix a few things like: -Voice acting -Maybe more attacks(enemy) to make it challenging -not have half a circle for an explosion -more health for the boss -make the style of the game a little cleaner/fitting. Well there is gonna be a crazy mode, there’s video of DJ Subatomic Supernova’s crazy mode, and it’s way more challenging, so usually DJ SS will usually choose certain planets to spin really fast around the battlefield, but in crazy mode all of the planets spin so there are no safe spots, he also attacks way faster. The asteroids he flings in phase 2 and 3 are also improved, instead of having a few asteroids closest to you flung at you, he now throws even more than usual. Finally the last phase (when you must parry the planets) also changed, but this time you can’t parry the planets and you instead have to jump over them, it may sound easy but the planets take away less health compared to the parried ones, so the phase is way longer. I’m not sure if new attacks will be added (I hope so) or if the enemy will have more health. But I enjoy what we already have and hope they can add other stuff to game while it’s still in development.

What bothers me like other people have complained about for this game is the characters and how they are acting toward all the bosses. I get that the story hasn't fully shown through in these snippets we are getting but it still feels like the protags are the bullies. I know they just want equal music rights since EDM has essentially taken over and is pushing away other forms of music but it feels awful to watch them fight and interact. None of the bosses (I've seen so far) sound particularly rude or anything but then the protags just fight them with no warning. Like this fight just felt like Yinu wanted to play her piano and show her skills and Mayday just trashed her for it? I don't know, it just doesn't feel very heroic to me

It's not just "Want an equal music" thing. NSR unfairly banned them from arena despite the fact that they charged Quasa almost in fullest, then banned rock from auditions whatsoever. Thing is, NSR making electricity from music for all town... But when the whole city suffered from power outage, all buckup generators wasn't used for just purposes: all buckup electricity went ONLY on NSR's people. NSR is, like, usurpators, you could say.

To be fair, stereotypical rock does have a punk, roudy, "screw the system" vibe to it. A lot of rock is about going against the quid pro quo and being wild and yourself. Is what Mayday and Zuke doing good? Sort of, though the means they go about it are a bit askewed. But that's completely in character for a group of rock artists: pushing back against the system through wild and destructive means.

I can see Yinu and her mother's dynamic in two ways: The Karen energy (and I'm scared for the player if so.) I can see Yinu trying to calm down her mother but it's not working by saying "Mama wait!" or nervously or worried about her mom saying "mama?" while all the mother says is " to keep playing". It makes you as the player think it all about the mother instead of the child that is what I see at least. The Positive Energy: a mother who cares about her daughter and doesn't like people picking on her or ruining things her daughter likes to do. She knows how talented her daughter is and tries everything in her power to make sure her daughter is on the top and whoever picks on her goes on the bottom. or it can be the ladder both energies combined into one big one who the heck knows...(maybe I'm overthinking this and should just play the game...) Edit: EDM + Classical + Rock = AMAZING!!!

I think is more the second one. like the mother is just crazy overprotective. cause when you meet Yinu, she doesn't look unhappy or anything, in fact she likes playing and knows she is amazing. like she tells mayday to sit down and look at the master. even when she speaks to her mother it doesn't sound scared or warry or anything, she sounds like she trusts her wholeheartedly. and whenever Yinu falls from the strings, her mother catches and envelopes her receiving the blows in Yinu's stead.

Why do I get the feeling that the mother's anger isn't towards May and Z? I mean some of these lines she has sounds like she has a past experience with this happening. Okay, okay. Here's my theory. The mother and the father all had a happy life before this, but the father did something missed out on most of Yin life which led to arguments and so forth. So in order to distract her daughter and keep her from feeling the pain of not having a father, she did things in order to ensure her daughter to have everything she could ever want. Even doing this by pushing her own agendas onto her.

i played it and i love how the notes jumping making such synchronized dum dub the music especialy mothers hand when she hit the floor i believe this music suck without those i listened to the likes without those sounds and i didnt liked it that much although they werent bad

I'm so very confused as to why this is the boss they chose as the public demo, especially after fighting them in the full game. Not only is it musically pretty lame by comparison to the rest of the game, but if you found it hard, that makes sense seeing as how this is the 4th boss in. Not to mention, the coolest part of the fight, the ending, was cut out due to spoilers and because of how tonally inconsistent it is with the rest of the advertising, you don't sell a game like this on heartbreaking family drama. Why not just polish up the Subatomic Supernova demo from the event where it was playable?

To Summarize the story with no spoilers In Vinyl City, the music capital of the world, indie rock band Bunk Bed Junction, who is Mayday and Zuke, was about to impress the CEO Tatiana and some of the superstars from NSR. In an unfortunate turn of events, NSR dismissed them because the rock music genre is outdated; and a genre of music, EDM, is mainly acceptable. The duo plan to start a music revolution against the dominance of NSR and its EDM music on Vinyl City by crashing their concerts and performances with the power of rock.

@@sugarcrystals5649 There's a difference between being accented and simply being mediocre at acting. The accent of one's voice and the emotion placed behind it are two separate things. That's how one could give a jaw-dropping performance even speaking gibberish (and this has been done before).
