Mariko(vc) supposed to be voice her in mature tone but Hazmer(creator) said she's a bit complex so she went for a sexier tone instead.

While the lip syncing needed some more work, I really like the VA's interpretation of Eve, being gentle with a slight tinge of sadness, but with a yandere like edge during her "diva phase"

I think they didnt wanna re animate the og scene for this, I'm sure the og scene was in english and it would've tooken a huge ton of time to re animate any of the diff languages

There’s nothing wrong with the VA’s voice. But the sound director (or whomever was in charge of the localization for Japan) Should’ve told the VA what emotion to feel. It’s almost as if they didn’t show her the original gameplay or recording. She screams here at one point, and even does an “insane laugh”. The VA can DEFINITELY deliver the lines properly. Edit: Is it just me, or is it almost as if the VA was never shown any footage, like at all? The scream at the end did NOT match up at all.

Did they not show the va Eve’s scene before recording. There’s a lot of really awkward moments where the motions of the voice doesn’t match the animation what so ever. Her voice fits her, don’t get me wrong, but I feel some tinkering could have been done, just a little.

While I don't have any doubts in it being a simple enough fix, the thing that can't forgotten is that Japanese grammar is very different from that of English best example being that in English in goes "Subject Verb Object" , in Japanese you would reverse the Object and Verbs. That and in some cases it's possible to have a single sentence worth of Japanese convey the same amount of information as would be found in a 3 or 4 sentence long paragraph worth of English.

I really don’t want to nitpick because this game has one of the best soundtracks I’ve heard. I just really wish the voice actor was a tad bit more aggressive? For the first time I prefer the English version of Eve.. however I love how menacing she gets with her laugher props for sure. The Japanese voice actor has talent I just wish she was shown the English game to have a reference.

The voice actress great, but she needed more direction from those in charge of lines, especially when it comes to matching the body language Eve is giving. Even though English different than Japanese in a grammatical sense, they could’ve given more direction and matched the tones given in the English dub to make the performance much more impactful and less awkward in some places.
