Honestly... Tatiana is... actually a good leader. Even from the beginning, she never really 'banned' rock from being played, just that people couldn't use it to perform in the Lights Up Auditions. She wasn't stopping people from playing music, even though what she still did was wrong. I guess this is what NSR is, there is no straight answer to why people play or do music. ...I'm not angry that this game is Epic Games Exclusive. As much as Epic Games is slimy and Tim Sweeney can go fuck themselves, I can see that this game wanted to express one idea, it wanted to inspire people to create their own ideas and work out their own concepts. Sure, not all ideas are great, but at the same time that is what criticism is about. It's about love and understanding why you make music or make games. NSR passed its own torch to people, so we can improve us. They don't owe us anything, they already gave so much.

To me, Tatiana is an example of a villain who was right all along. Right after her battle with BBJ everything she predicted would happen happened. The fans of BBJ started riots all over the city and almost destroyed it because they were following their example.

(It did for Zuke the moment he saw the guitar whilst Mayday thought that Tatiana did something to Kul + Tatiana knew nothing about rock until Tatiana revealed that she was her.)

Tatiana was hitting a bit weak for the BBEG throughout the story. I figured her plot twist out pretty quick, and she wasn't doing anything else particularly memorable. I didn't really like her much and was just hoping for a good final boss against the corrupt CEO/person in power I'm used to seeing. But her dialogue before, during and after the final fight was actually really good. She won me over for showing that, while she came off as generic and overly serious in a game full of wacky, bombastic characters, it was only because she was the only character that doesn't wear her personality on her sleeves. Just like her artists and BBJ, she's not actually a bad person. She's mature and disenfranchised, and has a large responsibility. She's also wrong for banning Rock instead of allowing a larger number of genres in. But she does eventually come around, and the city shines brighter than ever. She's not perfect, no. But I greatly enjoy her now that I have context for her actions and demeanor.

It's even cooler when you realize that Mayday is probably VERY similar to the younger Kul Fyra that Tatiana used to be. Fiery, energetic, determined and spunky. Tatiana isn't just delivering a speech to two upstarts, she's also basically trying to shut down her own younger self. No wonder Mayday's audition made Tatiana so angry in the game's intro, Tatiana knew that she was seeing a second Kul Fyra walking up on that audition stage.

Yeah i've been hitting that recently - whenever she descends to me in this phase she only has one weapon instead of two, I also only get half a key when i'm told to throw it at her. Can give HB FS' method a try though but i'm not certain if that means hitting the circling box thing when she's down on my level? Because if i hit it while she's on the platform it just progresses as it normally should until the throwing of the key part

Bruh I have the switch version and I clipped through the fucking floor. And then when I fought her and won, the showstopper glitched tf out. The camera was focused on tatiana on the desk still, no voice was heard after "Red light, Green light." Tatiana jumped down onto the clock face and then fought two separate Zuke and Mayday models, with sfx and voices, all the while the showstopper was going, with the camera moving dramatically. Even when the battle was being evaluated, the battle continued

So... In small words... We aren't heroes and Tatiana ain't neither a good girl. She just wanted to run a democracy type of government based upon her own ideals... Therefore... Breaking some institutions of freedom choice... And we as good revolutionaries who tried to fight back an oppression... That OURSELVES PROVOKED due of a tantrum given on how low was our performance at political level. Shure... She had a very narrowed vision... But she never forbid anyone from enjoying whatever they wanted to enjoy. Such is why Zuke's brother could still play or do rap... Even if it wasn't so popular on the citadel. Then again... Not letting people to compete against EDM... Is kinda of an all-ruler type of vision... So... In reality Tatiana was a sort of a pseudo dictator... Although she didn't negate anything on people for a public display. At the same time... Zuke and May instigate a revolution based on how people were moved by EDM. Their movement is more of a tantrum or a racket more than an actual needed change. Because even if it became popular... It became popular over ruining others likes... And ruining people careers. Think of this... As of what happened with El Che Guevara. A tyrant who took down another tyrant... To forcefully conduct ones own visions on a country which didn't needed a change of political view (From a democratic-socialism or autocracy... To total anarchy)... Rather... ACTUAL democracy.

To be completely honest, although I do really like Tatiana’s speech at the start of the fight, it’s always kinda pissed me off that the game never acknowledges that she specifically had a bunch of EDM artists and a couple of children (Yinu and the people who made Sayu) child judge a music contest of all genres, as if there wasn’t going to be an inherent bias in their own judgement I get she probably did it on purpose to set up that she was very fundamentally anti-rock, but I wish they called out that fact in the game, plus addressed the reaction the Grand Quasa had to BBJ’s music in this cutscene

This might be a bit late, but when she's in the book throwing phase you need to hit the glowing lamp apparatus that slowly rotates around the room, before the music reaches a climax and Tatiana physically enters the fray again. To my knowledge the direction to achieve this is only said once, at the very first time one attempts this battle. The only other indication is that the apparatus flickers in tune with the music. Don't defend Tatianna she had a chip on her shoulder over her bands breakup. Also her comment about a level playing field is gaslighting because the playing field the way she had things wasn't fair to begin. She did nothing to stop the blackouts and her claim she let the districts pick their charter is likely a lie as well. She's not bad but she made misguided decisions that led to the games events.

I feel there was wrong on both sides. Tatiana was at fault for closing her mind towards change. BBJ was at fault for inciting rebellion with their brash attitudes at the concert. All of this could've been resolved with diplomacy. BBJ could've shown that a combination of various music's could've saved the city. And if Tatiana refused, THEN they could've started a revolution. Unfortunately, all that was doomed from the start thanks to Kliffs manipulation.

Why was Tatiana talking so fast in the dialogue before the battle began? The voice actress was really rushing through the sentences. The pace was off. Starts off the sentence one way then suddenly rushes through. Or one sentence slow, then the next sentence was said speedy af. It really broke the flow. If they really wanted to have her talk faster, they didn’t do it in a good way. It was very disconcerting. The music in this battle is so damn good though!

Philip Miguel Polves Done with their antics yes. But there is a way to talk fast and cut someone off but not sound rushed. I’m not sure how to explain “how” to do that, but i’ve heard people talk in that way before in movies and games. Fast but not “rushed”. It legit sounds like someone pressed the “speed up” or “fast forward” button in the middle of or for some of her sentences. So it still sounds like she was rushing the script at some points.
