Being an owner of Honda City, I would say that the only downside of sedan is its ground clearance and now that vw and skoda have addressed that issue. I see no point in shying away from a buying a sedan. I have seen both virtus and slavia on road, they look solid and have great road presence. Good buy I would say.

@@chiragsthakur1022 I am pretty sure that the Honda city lacks a bit in legroom and kneeroom (compared to the slavia and the virtus although all cars have astounding amounts of space). But the honda city is the clear winner - if you want to fit 3 adults in the 2nd row. Although Slavia can fit 3 mid- sized adults, the Virtus isnt even close and is more of a 4 seater. People tend to have alot of mixed reviews regarding fitting 3 people in all the cars, like in one comparison (By MotorOctane itself)`they said that the area of the Slavia was comparatively better than the City. But in other comparisons they say otherwise. It REALLY depends on what you think. It's best to visit a showroom and see the car rather than listening to reviewers online.

@@keshav9481 1.0 TSI can give you double digits mileage in traffic if you drive light footed. Discounts change from time to time. I got the 4 years SMP for free (july 2022). I haven't serviced my car yet but the experience depends on the dealership honestly. I am in chennai and my service team is a bunch of lovely people and I have visited them twice for checkups and am very satisfied with the service.

I bought Slavia Style 1AT on 1st Feb 2023.. test drive both AT 1.5 and 1 turbo.. 1 AT turbo has instant pickup in city compared to 1.5 AT which lags for 2 secs till the turbo shoots in.. highways 1.5AT will definitely have a better throttle response.. Driving 1 AT STYLE from Mumbai to Goa and then Goa to kolhapur to Mumbai was super fun.. and there was no body ache or fatigue either to front seats or rear passengers.. throttle is pretty good when you shift to S mode and subtract triptronic pedal shifter by 1 gear.. overall fun to drive got a mileage of 17 kmpl on highways with most of times speed range from 90 to 110 kmph and in city it hovers around 9 to 13 kmpl depends on traffic. AC could have been better as sometimes it takes its own sweet time to cool down the cabin.. stability is good too.. steering is lighter.. i guess this time skoda concentrated more on comfort dynamics of the car..

Most of German cars are now in automatic and stopped giving manual transmissions since a decade… for the gear feel there are paddle shifts and I use that too seldom if on sport mode.. I am talking about other cars here..

Initial models had tripping issues but latest models doesnt have this problem thats what i am told by Skoda. But some say harrier ac is very powerful and chilling but i havent experienced that. That settles it . Slavia it is for my family use. Have used a Ritz Petrol for last 10+ years , driven it for 160000 kms ++ , with one battery ,one tyre set ,one clutch plate change . My use is in the Mumbai Pune Nashik triangle mostly with occasional trips yo Gujarat ,Konkan thrown in. Still get 19-20kms/ litre . Given my use a Slavia 1.0 litre turbo Petrol manual will just suit me fine .

Slavia has electronic differential lock in front wheels, where the system brake the spinning wheel and transfer torque to other wheel, other sedans and crossover doesn’t have this feature, hence Slavia is better in off-road situation.

Yes definitely visibility through A pillars in sedans or any long nose vehicle takes time to adjust. I learned to drive in our old SX4 and it took some time for me to adjust. A-pillar can create a big blind spot. But I loved the car. I still miss the engine coming to Punch as my daily driver.

Any petrol manual car weighing more than 1ton, in bumper to bumper traffic will not give more than 9kmpl. CVT and even TC give more mileage in B2B traffic, around 13kmpl, but TC will guzzle fuel at 20-45kmph, which is mostly city traffic speed.

In my opinion, sedans look classier, and are better for driving pleasure. The craze for so called SUVs in India is due to bad road conditions, instead of their true off-roading credentials. But, there should be a variant with the feel good factors such as Electronically adjustable seats, electronic parking break etc. Those gimmicks make one feel good about the car.

Great video rachit. VW virtus gt owner here. I bought VW virtus gt after taking test drive of so called hatchback on steroids in the name of suv's. Only Tata harrier and Jeep compass have suv characteristics with their rugged chasis. Going for a performance oriented sedan is always better than a hatchback on steroid.

yesterday me and my wife visited Skoda and Honda showrooms. I was considering Kushaq and Elevate. After sitting in the cars I dont understand how are Honda cars selling no matter how much reliability and all is good. We sat in Amaze, City and Elevate, they all felt like ancient souls walking this modern earth. The feeling in Skoda cars was something else. And the sense of space in Slavia is way better than Kushaq

I guess skoda Slavia and kushaq are equipped with Electronic differential lock, a feature not available in other two wheel drive sedans or suvs. Could this be mild substitute to 4wd, and going mild off road. The Slavia owner states to have successfully waded through on laddakh off roads in Slavia sedan. The review does not speak of any usefulness of ELD. Haven't comes across any review on ELD on any other channels too. Pls let us know if it's a good feature to go for as an alternative to 4wd when one does not go for heavy off roading.

It's simple, your employer presence should be in more than 4 States, this makes your eligible for it. The tax you'll have to in 2 years gap, that means after every 2 year you'll have to go to website on vahan, and select the drop down details, whatever tax is calculating based on the state you're in will have to be paid. Now the difference between the normal and this one is nothing, there could be slight variations. I've got it done. Should you require any other clarification, you may write here.

A few issues in this car are low under thigh support for back seat just like any other sedan, 1.0L engine is under powered at most of the times, given the car is having good build quality and it is heavier. 1.5 L auto is the best option but goes up to 23 lacs and will get you new Innova VX or a more powerful jeep compass for that price.

1 L engine car carrying 2 persons on a warm day on express way, will display plenty of power but when in full load plus luggage for all 5 ppl, you need to frequently work the gears to keep the vehicle pulling, there will always be a rubber band effect, plus it is a petrol engine not a diesel. All these efforts especially in a hilly region during winter times makes one feel that engine is underpowered or gets fatigued

@@karthikksdp have you driven this car ?? . Mujhe lagta hai ki tu on paper specs padhke bakchodi kar raha hai. It has sufficient power, I own one. There is no rubber band effect due to the torque converter.

@rs5829 Congratulations on owning a car. Why do you think they have the 1.5L option and DSG gearbox option if 1L and torque converter did all the job? They are indirectly saying that 1.5 is the original fitment for this car and 1L is the economic version of it. Rubberband effect is far less and way better than AMT gearbox I agree, but when compared with DSG you will definitely feel it.

Simple funda…. Drive ke maze lene hain, go for Sedan 🚘 anytime… Logon ko dhona hai, mitti waale raste mein jaana, go for compact SUV… aur agar asli off-roading karni hai to 4WD uthao… aaj kal ki nakli SUV nahi
