No Swimmer Has EVER Done This Before

100 meter freestyle world record holder Pan Zhanle just ripped a MASSIVE 46.97 at Chinese Olympic Trials
That is Pan’s third time swimming the 100 free in under 47 seconds, the only other swimmer to do it more than once is former World Record holder David Popovici who has done so twice. Every other swimmer to break 47 only did it once.

I think you could be right, the depth in the event is getting more and more ridiculous but with everyone piling up in that 47 low range and a few select swimmers dipping their toes into 46s. Hopefully as the field gets deeper and deeper everyone kind of pushes each other to that next level of speed.

Even though 23 out of the 30 swimmers tested positive for TMZ before the last Olympics my beliefs are I support each individual swimmer and cheer them on and support them. If they are ever caught using a banned substance then my feelings change forever and I no longer give any support to that swimmer. This swimmer has never tested positive and therefore he is doing incredible things! I support him!

@@Chris-vz2kv Well I’m on your side, but the medication that they were on was a heart medication, that helps blood flow and recovery. So not steroids, but Pan isn’t on medication. Same as all of the swimmers now. I think WADA is still strict with china. In 2017 Sun was tested every week of the year.

As a coach of 25 years, I don't accept or recognize any Chinese swimmimg performance since the 90's. They have become very good at cheating. I have been waiting for them to slip up. It was always a matter of time.
