Nice ride out bro and great to see your having fun on the old girl 😎 just a heads up on bump starting mate you really don't need so much rolling speed cus you might find yourself loosing control easy just rolling so as a precaution next time and hopefully you'll get her starting sorted sooner, when you get rolling ready to bump her get her in high gear first say 4th then give yourself say 10 meters, drop the clutch then at the same time drop your weight onto the saddle so she digs in bro, you'll find it much easier 🤛

Excellent video. Exactly what I enjoy, just raw footage. No bullshit cometary of why.. we all have been there. Just real legit riding and normal comments and sounds of that riding…. You’re very calm, and patient.. I speak like a pirate, alone or with company, so I would have had quite a few more cuss words.. (just sayin’). (Also not needed, just me).. happy riding bro.. Awesome scenery too.. 🤙🏻

These are the times I'm glad I got electric start! It's a real workout kicking these bikes man. Nice riding!
@BeanzBobАй бұрын
I hear you. She actually is usually a straightforward kick start but some days she's just 81tchy 🤣

Good thing the downhill start mostly always works, it's a real life saver in some scenarios

I love the XR's, but when i bought my off road bike, i went to a DR... SE, because of what you show on your video! Nice tracks and nice riding, though!! :)

I hear you. I'll keep her forever though 🥰. Awesome bike regardless.

XRs get the engine flooded when stalling. Pull in the decompression lever and give it 10 or 15 kicks while having the kill switch pressed and keeping full throttle. This makes the engine spit out the excess fuel. Then you can start it normally. This works with my XR250 every time.

I've read about this and applied it a few times although without the kill switch. It definitely helps. I tried it in this day but maybe not enough kicks. Thanks for watching.

Did this end up being a mechanical issue with the 600, or is this pretty par for the course with that bike.
@BeanzBobАй бұрын
@@dougdunedainownerofthedoom2205 rode her the next day for 6 hours and she started each and every time except when I dropped her. From what I've experienced with mine and read on forums, XR600s just don't like being dropped or dying on some sort of incline.

Between your 2 bikes which do you ride more?

Had the XR600R 10 years before getting the Africa last April. I've ridden the Africa by far more since then. Kinda enjoy the bigger bike more.
@Itsjake908Ай бұрын
@ your Africa looks fun but If I can’t find one in decent condition near me I may go with the new ones or a Tenere 700. Thoughts?
@BeanzBobАй бұрын
@@Itsjake908 My actual dream bike is the Tenere and now they're bringing out the new 2025 rally edition. But this Africa Twin has so much character and I've made mine quite capable too. Choices choices choices. Are you in Europe?

@Itsjake908 I should have guessed since you said you were struggling to find a good one. Hope you do

Bob I think you need a new clutch disks …that’s why it isn’t start…Next time you find yourself in the same position, do a test, try lowering the crank slowly, not as fast as you did.

It's not that mate. The xr600 just gets funny if she dies lying down or similar circumstances

That’s kinda sketchy riding down that hill with no motor, if you got a buddy with you it’s ok
