No Time To Diet in Brecon

We rock into Brecon and head into town where the new James Bond film is showing, but we decide at lunch that it's No Time To Diet! Later, Mike heads up Pen-Y-Crug with its impressive Iron Age Fort at the top, and our drone Midge takes to the sky.

Hi Mike & Trish, was just watching your latest video & noticed when you were going for a walk you picked Keira up & lifted her over the stile. On one side of the stile you can lift up a post so dogs can walk under. Didn’t know if you knew this so thought I’d pass it on 🐶

Greetings from Poland. Like this one? It was brilliant. The campsite looked lovely. Walk along the canal into Brecon was very pretty - this canal is thought to be one of the most picturesque in the UK. Brecon is a lovely county town. The walk up to the top of Pen-y-Craig was really nice. Glad you didn't hurt yourself on the broken style. The drone shots from the top were very good as were the gymnastics. Funniest parts of the video? Fierce Keira and your Sean Connery impression. Stay safe please and I'll see you again soon

Sometimes the sun on the phone screen makes it difficult to see if you are recording, I have one of these sun shades for it, but don't often use it. It was very overcast that day, so no sun problems, but still cooked up. Dough ball was not what I said at the time 🤣

Hay Castle will be reopening to the public from April 2022 after extensive renovation. You might like to stay at our Off-grid CL Site, Dark Orchard CL, just a 5 minute walk into Hay Town centre.

How do you ever find your way around, especially through the narrow streets of the towns? The canal reminded me of when I first started watching David and his narrowboat on the English canals. The drone shots really show the beautiful countryside that is fantastic to see. You calling Trish "mommy" to Keira reminded me of when my hubby (of 56 years) and I used to say "Dad" and "Mom" to our dogs. It's so cute. Take care folks. Sandy from US

Brecon and the Beacons, one of my favorite destinations, although on my first encounter back in the 70's I was beasted all the way up the Pen y Fan. Been back many times, and most visits where much more gentle walks. Thanks for sharing....Paul 👍
