I have been getting a few comments about USDA regulations for thawing and freezing meat. If you watch my channel regularly you know I don’t follow the USDA. Buying meat from the grocery store it already comes frozen. They thaw it, you buy it and refreeze it. If you thaw and refreeze it again that’s 3 times it’s been frozen. Not knowing how many times it’s been frozen and thawed from factory before you get it. The quality of the meat goes down each time you refreeze it. I didn’t even mention the USDA in the video, because I don’t follow them!! It’s just what I do in my own home. If you do something different that’s fine! But I will always give my tips and tricks in the kitchen! Thanks so much for watching ❤

Everything looks so good! My hubby has not tried zucchini until recently. We are in our 60's! He has always thought it's mushy. I finally made some zucchini fries in my air fryer using a coating of panko, parmesan, and egg. He's hooked! We dip them in ranch dressing. I tried to make zucchini squares with bisquick thinking he would love those too. Nope. I portioned them out and froze them for my own breakfasts. Just a funny to relate. I love your videos!

I found this video very interesting. You fed everyone from your well stocked food storage, saved yourselves money and found a new recipe when “forced” to use only what you had. I ordered your helpful food prep, freezer and pantry inventory sheets, which I plan to start working on this week. I feel like once I know for sure what I’ve got, then my meals will be a lot more cost effective and there will be less spoilage and waste. Congratulations on your father in law’s wedding…..😊. Oh, man! everything looks so good. I am going to have to try that crockpot chicken recipe. I am with you on rice. it just hardly ever works for me on the stovetop. I usually just make it in the instant pot. Lol. I am definitely going to have to start making it on the stove top more often as well.

According to the USDA you can refreeze meat as long as it was properly thawed in the first place (ie. thawed in the fridge, not the microwave). The more you know.

Everything looks great! We love cheese so much and I don’t want to ever know what it’s like to run out of cheese😂. It is safe to refreeze thawed meat as long as it was thawed in the refrigerator. However, if you’re buying your meats from a store, versus a local farmer, that meat has very likely been frozen for transit and thawed (safely) once it’s reached the store so not sure how much of the thaw-refreezing it can take and keep it’s quality.

Yeah. That’s why buying meat from the store isn’t good to refreeze after you freeze it at home. So you aren’t freezing it 3 times 🤦🏻‍♀️

I think if you like making rice maybe invest on buying a rice cooker. Rice cooker is so easy and cooks perfect every time. I really can not live without it

The U. S. Dept. of Agriculture (USDA) advises: Once food is thawed in the refrigerator, it is safe to refreeze it without cooking. I do it and it's just fine it won't hurt you.

My biggest pet peeve is people using bone-out skin-off chicken and slapping barbecue sauce on it and calling it barbecue chicken. No. That's just grilled chicken. That's not authentic barbecue chicken. LOL
