The engine is not under the hood. There were a few of these cars built in the 1970s. The engine is under the rear glass window for better weight distribution over that back axle. These are all but forgotten nowadays, but back then, this is what drag racing was all about.

That’s a clone of the “hemi under glass car”. You can see the engine thru the back window. The original hemi under glass car was doing this back in the 60’s. Dodge had a little red wagon van that did the same thing.
