Is it still true we judge the sin as sinful but not the sinner because only God can see the heart?

Thank you, Father! Your advice on dealing with people with mental differences is what I needed to hear. My daughter has autism and bipolar disorder. She’s a sweet and wonderful child….until she’s not. Please pray for me that remember your words. ❤

I would give anything and I mean anything just be be around you. There is no one in the USA that has discipline and truly is humble. You are very true very honest, very kind, you reflect the lion hearted Christians of old.

Dear Father Serafim, I need your word so much. To see that it's not so important for me to discern when people around me make mistakes, but to focus on myself; only my sin is something that should concern me. Consequently, I am humble. Because I love Jesus, I also love all other people, as they are all made in the image of God. Your words, Father Serafim, consistently affirm to me that the true path of a true Christian is the path of love, acceptance, and non-judgment. Although I am a Roman Catholic, I don't care about that. I may be on the right path, but if I'm not doing things out of love for my fellow human beings, my correct path is worth nothing.

More priceless wisdom from Fr. Seraphim. 🙏 Thanks be to God. I’m so grateful this was recorded and shared to your channel so that we can all benefit. The Hebrides are majestic and breathtaking in the summertime, and getting to spend time on Mull with the women monastics and on Iona with the men was an experience that filled my heart and soul while opening my eyes. If you’re thinking about making the pilgrimage to Scotland, know that it will be worth whatever you must sacrifice to make it there. ☦️

Thank you Father for your sympathetic words towards the mentally ill. I am always astonished at your truly heartfelt words. (Also, I can appreciate your thoughts about the creative process when you use Dadaism as an example of breaking down and building up-Dadaism was a great influence in my formative years, especially after reading Roger Shattuck’s book and one I believe written by Herbert Read(?).

Der Fr. Seraphim, Thank you for your talk this morning that I heard and listened to on you tube from here in Idaho. You touched on several issues that I have been dealing w/ the last month nor two and have given me what I need to move out of it. I have been praying for help in this, and I believe that you are an answer to those prayers. Thank you for being who you are and who God created you to be. You are serving Him and all who need to hear what you are teaching us. God bless you and your monastery. I received the the prayer cord and the "On Prayer" booklet I ordered from you just before Christmas and was so blest to receive them. I herd about the booklet from a sermon by a Father at an Orthodox parish in Salt Lake City who did a homily from it and so I ordered it. Keep up the good work for Our Lord and Savior and I will keep on listening to your talks and get back into a serious and committed prayer life. Amen and Amen. In Jesus Name.

Hi Fr. Seraphim, I hear you when you say do not stand in the place of the judge, and I can understand this whole heartedly not to stand in judgment of others as it is not my place. But my question, for clarity's sake, is even deciding if something is good or okay also sitting in that place? How can I console someone without being judgmental at all? "Youre a good person, etc," "You did the right thing" is this judgement? Bless me Father Seraphim with an answer and God Bless you and your struggles.

Praise be Jesus Christ. Thank you Father, I'm caring for children and i do not have the words or position in their lives to bring them on a right path. I feel I'm losing them, some of them. I speak with them about the things that attract them. They are good, but I am not enough. I pray and ask God for His child before me. Your talk helped me see somehow what I'm trying to impose on them, I do resent when I meet their lack of care or selfishness. In my own way I am a greater sinner, how can I, a sinner, not lose them. I am losing. I am not their parent, and don't know how to be a parent to them, especially because some of them don't want me to be that person. I am afraid to face God having given such a poor version of myself to them. Natale.

Hello, I would like to share with you that this is also my concern. However, when I reflect on my life, I too see that I was and still am selfish and self centered, but now I have seen and believe the truth that is Jesus Christ our Lord and savior. Praise be to God. I grew up in the Catholic faith, but I went my own way, embracing atheism, much to my fathers chagrin. (Perhaps the only thing that saved our relationship was the great respect I had for him and how I looked up to him, but this did not save me from committing so many horrible and deadly sins) Take heart, I learned from the suffering, pain, and emptiness that is atheism, materialism, selfishness, that I needed God more than anything when for more than 29 years I rejected him outright. Perhaps one day your children might also seek truth in their despair, and, in humility, come to Him who loves us all. Pray it does not come to this, but Glory to God for all things. Christ's peace be with you.

50:50 It's interesting how fr. Seraphim puts it, as some people would say that the fundamental value is life, and others would say that it is freedom.
