I'd Like to see a base design for Wasteland Mod The Hordes in that mod are simular to Darkness falls ( I wont say no more) But I Highly recommend Checking the Mod out If you're a fallout fan

I really need an extra detail how to connect the powered hatchs please I'm trying to do the same as the video but fail all the time :(

No problem! If you are using two sensors like here, wire from the generator to sensor 1, and from sensor 1 to sensor 2. From sensor 2, wire to all of the powered hatches. You can mess around with the timing of the trigger duration to get a feel what works best for you. Make sure the sensors are targeting zombies and not yourself as well :)

Great design! The problem with those 25 bihs is the sensor keeps being triggered and opening, I can see taco is indeed the true evil behind the scene lol

Personally, I cover my grenade chutes with slope or half blocks to make it impossible for me to fall into them. It's still pretty easy to throw grenades in, even with half the usual opening. You can use the plate versions if you want to walk over them.

During my DF play through on survivalist difficulty, I was overrun by a ridiculous amount of succubus and matriach succubus during the day 56 horde. Game stage 700+. They chewed through my titanium roof like it was paper and my 6 laser turrets may as well have been squirt guns. Any idea how to deal with something like that?

@@Meow820 The version of the trap here would probably not survive all of that as you described. However, I have made the trap larger....the key being that you need to make it deeper and better protect the motion sensor. The same principle applies but if done right, you can adequately protect all the vulnerable components and make it very secure. You may even consider making a couple layers to the bottom of the cage for extra layers of defense if you are facing that many of them! You can make the opening wider too. I used 2 powered garage doors in a previous video as well.

Is there anyway that you could better explain the dirt digging process? I'm having a hard time using the replace and fill with air options, its only doing singular blocks at a time. TIA :D

Absolutely! First you need to hold on "r" to bring up the wrench options. Make sure to select replace all blocks of same type, and replace blocks with air. Next press "z" while in debug mode. If you press "z" again at a different location, you will expand the size of the box. You can also adjust the size by pressing and holding "shift + g" and drag the axes in different directions to increase/decrease the size of the box in that direction. Once complete, simply right click on a block within the blue box region you want to replace. If you for example click on dirt, it will replace all the dirt blocks with air. If you click on stone, only all the stone blocks will be replaced. Do this for any block type within the region till all is replaced. Hope that is more clear for you!

I love the idea of trapping the succubus. Still trying to watch all your videos and learning few things that i can use for my hoard base. I am playing Darkness Falls Insane difficulty and I find succubus matriarch the hardest as it can 1 shot me even with the power armor. I am on game stage 1800+. Do you have a hoard base video to fight at these stage?

I have one around that gamestage but that was in previous alpha and I don't think the matriarch existed yet. I'll have to revisit that again! But I think a good starting place would be a larger, more secure succubus trap.

I don't get the wiring, can I attach from sensor 2. To a relay? As I've got more hatches than in the video so the sensor can't accomodate all the wires. So I've had to attach sensor 2 to a relay. From testing having the sensor locked onto player, the sensors and hatches work. However what I don't understand is, the doors are closed from the beggining so how will it sense a Succubus? Unless the sensor goes through and senses past hatches?

Yes you can absolutely attach the sensor to a relay and from there to the hatches. As for the hatches being closed, it sounds like you positioned them incorrectly. When they are closed, the trap should be open with clear field of view. When they activate, that is when it blocks the trap and prevents them from flying off. So you want to place the hatches parallel to the wall, not the roof. Line the hatches against the wall and when they open, the door swings up blocking the roof.

Hi! So, this seems to be the best base to build for my group in DF, however- I learned a while back that the window shapes, no matter how much you upgrade them, they are almost 2 shottable. Is there something else we should use instead or do we just need to be super quick about killing demos? Also- does spit from cops or hazzy guys damage blocks?

Using the triangle windows as ramps is not easily replaceable by a different shape. If you want to avoid using the triangles, your best bet would be to eschew ramps and make a zombie loop in the pit in which they repeatedly fall down and repeat. The wedge narrows could work....simply create a path from the bottom of the pit to the top and put a wedge narrow slide there and they'll endlessly repeat. You'll definitely want more than a single path if you get some unlucky demos. Other shapes can also work as well as powered hatches.

SO, using these triangle blocks, and upgrading them to Titanium, they only have 4500 life. Is that correct? Seems a bit low if I am planning on tossing grenades down there or using rockets.

Cannot recall how many hitpoints they have, but grenades and rockets (the frag ammo type) don't do a ton of block damage so the self inflicted damage is minimal compared to the zombie output. You will have some triangles destroyed which is why you have multiple paths. But if you have enough, you should last the night.

@@pseudoposse Thank you. Just did a psuedo test run. I am lvl 300 with game stage 900 and I was building when a wandering horde showed up. Works great with the exception of Titans. The titans will beat on the triangle blocks eventually. That being said, explosives will definitely kill them very quickly. The triangles adjacent to the walls are the most subject to zombie attack as they can fall in there and get trapped and then try and beat their way out. Even works great with Lords of Hell as you are high enough up that the aura they have won't inflict damage. Overall, I give it a 99% on efficiency at the highest game stage. The only improvement which I may experiment with is changing the triangle window blocks into something a little sturdier. I wonder if the 1/4 plate used in making the path to the crow's nest would be as efficient in keeping them in the pit. Will test and see what happens.

If you can get stuck, then zombies can get stuck. I would have made the pit a block wider on both sides.

How big is the pit though? Looks like 15x15? Really hard to tell

The outer perimeter of the pit on the top is 15x15 which is double layered. The perimeter of the pit in the ground is 13x13. Though you can absolutely adjust the size depending on the gamestage.
