The door outline at 3:58 is actually a P-switch door, which appears in Mario 3 and Mario Maker 1 and 2. You hit a P-switch and the door appears, allowing you to go through it. It was probably just a background detail though, as it also doesn't make sense why there are blocks under it, because they would turn into coins if you did press a P-switch, making it impossible to go through the door. Anyway, maybe it was an idea for Kamek and company to "quick-travel" to the airship.

Theory time: 1:09 In this picture, Luigi was supposed to be the cooler, confident, and more likeable brother out of the two. Its possible that their parents favoured Luigi over Mario. As such, Luigi became the leader instead of Mario; hence, the "Luigi Bros." 1:49 This picture, I think, solidifies Luigi's more confident persona over Mario. You can see that Luigi has a nicer looking, more well trimmed moustache than Mario's. Mario is trying to copy his brother and learn from him, but isn't as successful at it. This is why Luigi is happy and Mario is not. Also, Luigi has neater hair than Mario does. It is groomed and well kept, whereas Mario's hair is not. Luigi is taller, slimmer, happier, more confident, and much better groomed than Mario. I think the movie was originally gonna be about Mario learning to become a more self-assured version of himself. This also mirrors the final battle of the final release of the movie, where Mario isn't confident in himself and struggles to regain his determination after being beaten by Bowser. It was an origin story depicting themes of belief, resillience, purpose, and acceptance. But hey... *THAT'S JUST A THEORY...* *A GAME THEORY.*
