This is one of the best episodes of the series because it drops so much crucial info: vice admiral Garp is Luffy's grandfather, Shanks is a pirate emperor, the "training with Ace", Koby is suddenly a competent marine trained by Garp, and Luffy's father is Dragon, the mastermind behind the freaking revolutionary army!

Just to clarify a bit. The Navy and the Warlords TOGETHER go against the Emperors, who themselves are all against each other. Each of the 3 is one of the 3 Great Powers but peace is only maintained by the Warlords and Navy working together against Emperors that have not joined forces. So this implies a lot about the power structure of the emperors and why the WG is forced to use the warlord system. And like you said, the Navy did not want Shanks and WB meeting on the off chance that they join forces and destabilize the power balance of the world. (Also the 4th emperor is near Garps legs but you have to look at the end of the animation where he’s not as big because he was originally covering up the last emperor)

I absolutely love watching new ppl fall in love with this story. The live action was 100% a success considering I’m watching so many new ppl upload reactions to the anime. The similarities between Roger and the crack head luffy himself never stop.

Great reaction, as always! If you think back the live action series, now you can understand why long-time & retired pirates -- such as Chef Zeff -- could figure out Luffy's relationship with Garp. They have the same surname (Monkey) and the same initial (D.). It's all in the name!
