I'm surprised by the low number of subscribers. Keep at it, the overall quality is great. It's just a matter of time.

Downey didn't whine about his paycheck in Ironman. That's because Terrence Howard did all the whining for everyone.

Robert Downey Jr reportedly has earned over 700 million for his time in the MCU and that's not counting what he's getting paid to come back as Dr Doom
@swarnavsinha64422 ай бұрын
No he earned around 400 million for playing iron man in mcu.
@master2uall882 ай бұрын
@@swarnavsinha6442 you need to go back and do some more research until you find the true number and it's double what you're saying he made a shit ton of money and he's going to make even more money cuz he's greedy just to come back to play Doctor Doom which is going to ruin the character because he's already played Iron Man and it's not going to save the MCU

@master2uall88 you think Marvel would pay RDJ a 10th of their earnings? So, he got paid 1 million for the 1st Iron man and 8 for the 2nd. So you're telling me that he earned 691 or more over the next few movies? 😂 Nah, you can't be that dumb

Regarding Avengers, the movie was always envisioned as having Iron Man as the central character, but still Downey wanted more. He wanted the movie to open with Tony Stark, something the writers and Whedon disagreed and in his words he said "come on, let's see if it can work". According to him, it didn't look that good so they went with the movie opening with Nick Fury

I think you undeservedly skipped RDJ's role in "Charlie Bartlett" (2007) alongside Anton Yelchin and Kat Dennings. It's kind of a "darn young kids" movie but RDJ stole every scene he was in.

I honestly cannot understand how and why some of those movies "bombed"! This man is a brilliant actor and has shown that throughout his career! Chaplin was astounding and it still makes no sense how it "failed" so badly! This is why I don't "follow trends" or reviews! I watch the movie and decide for myself whether it's good or not!

Well said, don’t let reviewers, critics or box offices decide for you 👍

Never forget that Robert Downey Jr was also a cast member on SNL during its 11th season (1985-86) when Lorne Michaels came back and nearly tanked his own show. And Rolling Stone magazine had RDJ listed as SNL's least funny cast member (funniest is John Belushi), which I kinda take offense to, since Anthony Michael Hall was worse. Yeah, RDJ may not have been funny then, but he was when he came back to host for the 1996-1997 season (which was around the time that his drug problems and run-ins with the law were killing his career).

bro come on, the mel gibson part was cringe, "controversial statements"????, dude plead no contest to beating his girlfriend, drunk driving that could have killed someone, calling jewish people "oven dodgers" to their faces, told his wife it would be her fault if "she got r*ped by n*ggers" and that he would get aids if he talked to gay people, also to their face. just to name a few "controversies" He's not some cute old guy who made off color comments and didn't know what he was saying, he's a horrible person and you brushing over it is if it's just bleeding hearts being overly sensitive says a lot about what you think of those things :/

That movie was complete B/S! I fully concur; however, that had very little to do with Robert Downey Junior's ability to act! It was just exceptionally poor.
