I’ve had 68 surgeries (so far), broken bones, 2 amputated fingers, a reconstructed nose, and undergone laser scar resurfacing more times than I can count. Everything is all perfect, well, and good until it isn’t. I knew someone who walked in front of a propellor and was sliced to pieces. Don’t take anything for granted, don’t make your life dependent on what others say about you; just be the best YOU and control what you can. You don’t have to be perfect, nobody is. When asking men to rate themselves, they tend to do it realistically. I think a part of it is that a man's looks are usually not essential to his internal self worth. Asking a guy to rate their attractiveness isn't that different that asking him to describe the brand of the suit jacket he wears.

They have to do it realistically. Guys rather undervalue from my experience. Probably because the potential dating pool is not that big as on the female side. If. You are female and above... 6 I would guess, your dating pool is practically endless. For a men only if you are 9 or 10. Everyone else is pretty limited in who he can approach. So some put themself right on the money and search for equal partners. Some unconciously undervalue, "I am a 2, why should I even try" thats sadly pretty often the case with men even if they are average. And a receding hairline is for most guys game over. 10:26 there is a nice argument you can use referring to this statement. If Everybody is a 10, the very deep meaning of "being a 10" ceases to exist. Thats because the only factual cause that makes you a ten is comparing your physical traits with the ones of men or women around you, based of the scientific criteria like simmetry, height, health ecc. So if those people that makes you a ten by comparison become, by some assumptions, as good as you, you can not be considered a ten no more, because "being a ten" has no more meaning.

The problem is how dating apps function to maximise profit. It used to be women would go for the best guy in their social circle. Now, the best guy in a 50 mile radius can match with every woman nearby, guys aren't picky about who they sleep with. So every girl has these rich male models matching with them, and think they're on their level. And why would they go for less when it seems to them like these guys are accessible? Of course, they're not accessible for actual relationships, but that takes maturity and self-awareness to appreciate. Apps could fix the issue easily by limiting everyone to, say, 5 swipes a day, forcing men to be more selective. But that's less time swiping.
@polishpimp423310 ай бұрын
I would make a new dating app where men have to pay 20.00 a month to use. It forces them to make a proper profile since they have skin in the game. Start punishing women for excessive left swiping. And anything that mentions instagram or only fans get's instantly filtered out. I would make both genders fill out a profile of what they are actually looking for and require a current picture from your smart phone with no filtering allowed.
@dariuschambliss122123 күн бұрын
The apps already limit your swipes. You have to pay for more swipes. That never fixed things.

Confidence and delusion are not the same. It takes real confidence to tell the truth and admit you're not okay or a good enough person. By doing this, you risk tainting your reputation and shifting other peoples' assumptions and views on you. Telling the truth will always be the more confident and commendable path to take.

I really don't get this type of thinking. If these women really think high of themselves I think it is wonderful, as long as they don't think low of others. Why do you want to bring them down? Also the whole thing that relationships are based on looks is so insane to me. I am not saying that initial attractiveness is not important, but after that it just doesn't matter so much. I think my boyfriend might be considered average or below by people, but I can't stop seeing him as the most handsome guy to have ever walk the earth. It's the only guy I ever want to sleep with, hug, kiss, etc. I don't walk around thinking what better looking or richer guy can I get. A relationship is about the bond you build every day, and if that is strong and makes your heart feel like it's melting most of the times you meet, you'd never look around. Thanks for all the other content you're making! you really motivate me to try harder than last time to stay in shape and work hard at the gym!

People can be good-looking but still unattractive , and average looking people can be insanely attractive. It depends on the kind of person they are. So rating someone based on external beauty is useless, really. Someone may be average, but when you're in love, that person becomes a 10 to you. That's the kind of "10" that really counts.
@rodrigop21985 ай бұрын
No it isn't useless, there is pretty privilege. I see it with my best male friend, he is always late to classes, doesn't study, always fails to get girls but always atracts new girls and girls arw always over him even tho he is trash.... the female teachers even give him opportunities they dont give to the other students like calling him for him to get up and go to school. @JiraiyaSama8611 ай бұрын
Technically, you're not supposed to rate yourself in these situations. That's what feeds into the BS of self-esteem. Even if you supposedly rate yourself humbly, why? What is the purpose of rating yourself? To make yourself feel good? That's selfish. To get motivation to work harder? That's still selfish. The self rating thing is a load of crap that starts from the early public education we've had in the last few decades.

You'd think a bodybuilding 'influencer' would just get on with talking about bodybuilding. Maybe after all these years it's all been said, but an influencer has to remain 'relevant' and visible with content output? When you've read and digested the best and most useful content from a book, you've done with the book. The only way the author can get your money again is by publishing the 'new expanded version'. This is what Greg's channel is like now. You sit and listen to his personal complaints and prejudices and hopefully buy the supplements.

I don't know how I ended up here, but that was a *ridiculous* rant. 1) "Most guys on dating apps are just looking for one-night stands" - Greg projecting. Speak for yourself. 2) Health and beauty are very different things - stop conflating them. We all know that many people go to unhealthy extremes in pursuit of impossible beauty standards. 3) Beauty standards change over time. Obesity was once desirable in some societies, when most people were starving. Look it up. 4) Beauty standards are not the same across cultures. As just one example, the ideal male image in the US is quite lean, whereas in Russia women prefer men with more bodyfat. Look it up.
