Went with one 5 years ago and never looked back. So easy to transfer it over to the new car when I wrecked the old one as well.

Good to watch your review. With things like thermo fans, you should use a lower high fuse and should be using PWM to enable soft start, then you don't need a high current limit as it won't pull lots, it's why that function is there. Also you should use PWM for temp vs output duty so as the temp rises the fan will run faster and faster rather than just running 100% or nothing. Thanks for the video ....... it's useful stuff :)

I am wondering if in your setup you have been able to send CAN messages to the ECU from the PDM. I am asking because I would love to send CAN messages to the ECU from the PDM that mimic the Fueltech keypads.

Nice review. I'm currently wiring a hardwire PDM in my Fueltech car. Can you tell me what values you use in the software for low side inputs setup (threshold voltage and hysteresis)?

I use yellow outputs as +12v triggers. Threshold as 4V and hysteresis is 0. Make sure in Can Inputs that filter for a few of them are not set to 0 or 1 as they won’t work properly. Oil, fuel, water pressure to 2. Lambda, rpm, at 3.

Great videos! I am curious if you have attempted to get the PDM talk to the Fueltech via CAN. I imagine it can be done if you can send the same message as one of the Fueltech Switchpanels. I also have a fueltech FT550 and the PDM25, but I have a Blink Marine keypad that works great with the PDM, but not so much with the ECU. I have attempted to reverse engineer the FTCAN 2.0 protocol via the manual but have not had any luck getting messages to the ECU. Have you attempted to do something like this or if you have a Fueltech SwitchPanel could you look at the messages sent via the PDM CAN analyzer and see if you can discern the message ID?

I’d also love to do this, as I have two keypads, and half of one of them is redundant due to not being able to talk to the fueltech. The fueltech usa tech group on Facebook is a great source of information and I believe someone was looking in to being able to get a blink keypad to talk to the FT.
