Hello there. Thank you for your AWESOME VIDEO'S!!!! I have a VW Manx body buggy with a 1600 DP air-cooled VW engine. I just received my NO2C board with dual VR control and stepper driver. Now I must assemble the boards and now I have myself completely overwhelmed. I found your video's and I am a little more at ease with it. You definitely be hearing from me as I do plan on picking at your brains for knowledge if you don't mind. I have purchased a soldering iron kit, solder, flux, and an anti static mat with wrist strap. I plan to use the NO2C board for the fuel needs at first, and later I will be adding a wasted spark ignition setup later on in the future. I currently have a CB performance Black Box setup running the ignition. I will be using made in Mexico EFI dual port end castings manifolds to mount the injectors, a Ford throttle body with a TPS and just to further complicate things, I have a Berry' Blower Supercharger kit AMR500 that will also be included with my setup. In the future I plan to upgrade to a crank trigger and wasted spark ignition that will also tie onto the NO2C. I have learned so much from your video's and Your Baja Bug runs AWESOME!!!

@@wjones1972 right now I’m making a test stand to see if I can get injectors and coils to fire without risking an engine. Then I want to convert a Suzuki gsf1200 to fuel injection. Just batch fire, fuel only, then add spark control.

your video series indicates you built a second no2c cause the first one failed but then you found the first one was good and a setting in tuner studio was wrong , do you recall what that was ? thanks

Great video! Very informative as I'm just getting into this. Question, where did you get the bulkhead connector? I think you said Amazon, do you remember what it was called. I've searched everywhere trying to find that particular version. Thank you!

Thanks for watching glad it helped. I got my connectors from aliexpress They came with an case I was going to try and used but was to thin but they do have the separate hear is a link to some I just looked up. shorturl.at/ghkX4

Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't LS1 coils triggered by a 5VDC signal from the ECU? They are supplied 12 volts from the battery but should get a 5V signal from the ECU based on everything I've read.
@wjones1972 Жыл бұрын
Yes that's correct

I get confused so I may have it wrong in the video I have 3 cars running speeduino and 2 with VW coil packs and one with LS My apologies for misstating the spec in the video.

OK, I think I have found the problem, with no solution yet. Tuner studio reports low battery (12 volt) my battery is 12 volt, and there is 12 volts at the 12 volt unsoldered test ports on the board, TS says voltage is 2.3 though. So I will have to seek help on what component may be bad or that I may have soldered in wrong that is causing the 12 volts not to get from the onboard test port to the rest of the board. When I plug the board into just 12 volts, with no 5 volts from the USB, the board does fire up and make 5 volts, so the 12 volts is working, but where it goes from there on the board to where TS reads the voltage, it is 2.3 volts. Partial board failure.

Heres another question you may or may not know , I saw there is an air fuel 1 and air fuel 2 and this piqued my interest. I am building a v twin, so I wondered, if I have dedicated separate exhaust and O2 sensor on each cylinder, would I be able to really fine tune the AF to each cylinder via AF 1 and AF 2 using their own dedicated O2 sensors ? I am going to see if I can find that out too. they would each share the same MAP sensor of course.
@wjones19729 ай бұрын
The N02C board doesn't have a second input for o2. I do believe the firmware and tuner studio do support what your asking but the hardware doesn't without modification.

@@wjones1972 my experience with air cooled twins, where we have cylinder head temp and exhaust gas temp, one will always run hotter then the other, sometimes we address that with more fuel in a dual carb setup, so I guess I can do the same since I will have dual injectors

@@wjones1972 Soo i have Subaru Ignition Coil (4way) and i don't know if should i take jumper to 5v or to 12v or run it without. And if i have VR conditioner i only plug it in or should i connect it to 1-40 pins? What is idle stepper and PWM idle pin?
@wjones19722 жыл бұрын
@@aleksantoniak5448 your coil will need to be a smart coil meaning it has to have a driver built in. you will provide 12 volts from key on and ground to the driver and then signal wires to the speeduino are ground trigger normally. if you are using a vr sensor you will need a conditioner installed and set the jumpers correctly it doesn't need any other wiring. stepper idle or pwn idle are different ways of adjusting the amount of air bypassing the throttle to adjust idle for example during engine warmup.

Hello, I used and referenced your videos when I built my NO2C, I finally got around to testing it to see if it would smoke. I am using an ardustim to pump crank signal to it, and a licensed copy of tuner studio and it indeed sees the crank and rpm. I have the jumpers set to HAL for 1 and 2. I have nothing attached to the NO2C, no sensors plugs injectors. Do you think the red LED's should be flashing with just a crank signal only, or does it need more to get them flashing ,trying to figure out if I have a build issue on the board, thanks. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nZaZn6qPr9Z0gLcsi=Njf-nkjdx2YHveSe

You will have to have the 12 volt supply to the n02c board for sure I don't believe you have to have any outputs connected but you will have to select the settings in tunerstudio so it know what to do with the inputs before it will have any output.

@@wjones1972 I am thinking that MAYBE the leds will not actually blink if they are not actually connected to an injector or plug, hence allowing you to know that the device has come unplugged, thats just a guess, i will have to look more.
