@jr6511 honestly you might have a point, cuz looking at his other races that season, he only broke 10 seconds 5 times in 2022, and 3 of those were within 2 days at that same track. Doesn't mean 100% it's fake or invalid, but it's definitely worth noting

If Lyles can perfect his start in the 100m he will win many more 100m races. He gets upright too early. He needs to start the 100m like it's a 30m race.
@winstonpearson5282 Жыл бұрын
@@johnnwako2488 Wrong. Ben Johnson got beaten by Lewis repeatedly when he popped up so quickly. It was only AFTER he roided up that he was able to pop up that fast and beat Lewis. He was able to do that because he got much stronger. Lewis and Christie never popped up so quickly, they just got beat out of the blocks and had to straighten up quickly to get into drive phase to catch up. At the start n most of his 100m races Lyles is a step behind the leaders because he straightens up too quickly. He needs to start 60m and 100m races the way he started the 200m race where he ran 19.31. He blasted out of the blocks without popping up quickly, accelerated and was the 100m mark before everyone...that's the way he needs to run the 100m. If he can consistently run like that he can get close to 9.58, or lower.

@@FindingTheTruthMinistry it's possible if he can perfect his start.
@kennethcoleman1378 Жыл бұрын
@@johnnwako2488 That is actually not true at all. In sprinting your drive phase is important. You would be completely stupid to halt your drive phase and cut it short just to be upright quicker. Drive phase is where you build speed to maintain in top end speed, which is where you are upright. The shorter your drive phase, the quicker you start to decelerate in a race because you've shortened the amount of time it took to build the speed. Noah needs to stay patient in his drive phase. He went 19.31 BECAUSE he finally trusted his drive phase and didn't pop straight up. Carl Lewis was historically known as a terrible starter. If you watch any of his races he's behind because he's upright within 4 steps it's awful. So he had to rely on his top end speed every race. It's not a matter of "leaning forward" for as long as possible, that's a bit of a description that does not describe what a drive phase is. If you are plainly "leaning forward" then you are not driving properly. Your drive phase is dependent on you as an athlete and what works for you. Some people drive for 25 meters, some for 30 meters, some drive for 15-20 meters it just depends on the athlete but you have people like Noah you are up at like 10 meters which isn't good. At that point you have barely built any momentum.

Surely Omanyalla can
@donnasimmons6302 Жыл бұрын
He does but Liles is depending on his end spend to do the job for him. If he ever gets his start speed working right no one will catch or beat him. Great job Mr. Lyles. And too the announcer he was already ahead of the fastest man by three steps.

To be honest lyles is less of the problem's if he can't beat one of the slow 100m runners outside of Kenya he has no chance against the fast ones
