In Season 5 when Yami Yugi/Atem is absorbed into the ancient stone tablet, that piece of Bakura follows him.

Examples: Kaiba in Dark side of Dimensions, Ghostbusters, Power Rangers, Fantastic 4 (ultimate nullfier, nerfs anything, even ancient magic), Green Lantern, Star Wars, Digimon, Etc. No matter how powerful ancient & devine magic is, its nothing compared to growing science and tech, its how its used, is what should matter.

After all, they have a certain level of mastery and understanding over magic compared to science. Maybe at the highest levels, magic might be stronger... science is limited by the world, magic is limitless... but it's doubtful if a person can reach that limitless realm naturally... rather, they borrow that limitless source... And Digimon isn't magic... it's science... even when disguised as magic, it's all science. And in Star Wars, the force is greater than any science... it's just that not everyone can use it... Of course, many stories are different, with many stories being that magic is stronger when the world is newer, but science is stronger when the world is older... and magic itself becomes weaker.... A common theme seems to be that older magic is better, newer science is better...

He did not Mind Crush anyone past almost killing Kaiba in Duellist Kingdom and loosing Yugi's trust on the matter. In fact in the manga Yugi outright asks him to never do it again, but even without that it's perfectly clear why he stopped. Yugi used to not be aware of Yami's actions when he was in control, but now he is and he won't stand for hurting anyone. Now why he spared Haga/Weevil in Duellist Kingdom is a much better question. He would have saved everyone a lot of headaches if he taught that kid a lesson, thus making seasons 2, 4, and 5 way easier for the heroes if Haga knew not to mess with him. There is no reason he doesn't get swarmed with bees or something, as Yami punished people for less.
