Kenny played in my band after leaving Manhattan School of Music. We kind of lived together as a group when we were doing college and club tours. He along with Cecil Mcbee Jr, and Kenny Aronoff were an incredible rhythm section. My father always told me “A smart leader hires guys who he can learn from”, I learned so much from Kenny.

Hope the book includes Gene Perla and Don Alias. Those 3 were extremely tight
