@@NoahKane You just need to adopt a "more views mindset" Seriously though, if you have this platform use it responsibly. Choosing to take risky climbs is your own decision, but encouraging others to do so is irresponsible. A lot of the people hearing you talk about taking risks to push themselves may not have the well tuned sense of their personal limits that you do and are likely to take things too far.
@mattdryden2 жыл бұрын
@@crowonthepowerlines From what I've seen of @Noah Kane 's videos, he demonstrates very solid and reliable climbing technique. He is honest and upfront about his mistakes like when there was confusion between which climber was calling "Off Belay" in this video. It's is a great way for others to learn to avoid such mistakes themselves. I see a lot of sketchy climbing advice on KZbin, but Noah's videos certainly do not fall into that category. Climbing is risky, to be sure, but making it some sort of dark art by not publishing quality content only leaves people to struggle to find information on how to make it more safe.

The "off belay" confusion is why I try to use names for belay commands. My name is common and sounds like some other names (through the wind, it's surprising how "David" can sound like "Nathan" or "Jason"), so in hearing-impaired situations I'll agree on a more unique pseudonym with my belayer. "Off belay, Rumplestiltskin" is pretty clear.
