Also enhances the healing of minor cuts and scratches. As a child living in Los Angeles we kept bees in our backyard from which we harvested gallons of delicious honey. We also put a couple of hives in the nearby Santa Monica mountains, resulting in sage-flavored honey. I used to go around the neighborhood with my wagon full of honey jars, selling it to neighbors, and we also sold gallons to the local bakery. We even made some candles with the beeswax. Fond memories......

You have to get raw, unfiltered honey to get the maximum nutrition potential. If the honey is heated, it loses the basic nutrients and is reduced to basically just a form of sugar.

Wow, I had no idea honey production was on such a massive scale. I’ve always thought of beekeeping as a small family business, but this shows how much technology and automation play a role now. I used to buy my spaghetti noodles from the maker. I would get the noodles that came directly from the drying rack, still curved at the hanging rods. We had some very long noodles. Kids loved it.
