he is the only person I listen to when watching this Israel and Palestine war currently. He was there from the beginning and he has watched it diligently and spoken out vehemently. He speaks from a place of compassion but also reality of the situation regardless of sides. Hence why I will NEVER allow ppl to just SIDE with Israel and get away from genocidal rhetoric. I saw a friend on IG call ppl protesting and siding with Palestinians, ppl siding with terrorists. And I couldn't believe my eyes, if you listened to Noam for even a 10 mins you'd understand how dumb that rhetoric sounds.

Nobody wants to do it, but none of us get to make the choice. There are only a few old rich people working systems that will do it to us without thought or feeling should they fail in their humanity, and they will. Most are not as strong as Noam, to keep humanity as paramount until the end, and to speak truth to power always, no matter what.

@@Outlier999 That's a very moderate sum for a man his age with such an education, but that's besides the point of how he spends it and speaking truth to power. I don't wish poverty, I wish them their just deserts. That's not even in the realm of the rich who make the rules and take from us all.

Chomsky I could not agree with you more although if WWIII does happen it’ll be so fast you would hardly feel a thing, it’s highly likely and almost reality sadly. All war seems to stem from the U.K.

This does not take alot of thought guys…this has been an escalating threat for decades. And will continue to get worse as more countries have capabilities. As those countries capabilities increase exponentialy over the future years so will the fear from those who have an arsenal of nuclear weapons. It will happen. To what degree is the question, imo. Now, I am not as fatalistic as Mr Chompsky in that I believe there are “inbetween” weapons that can cause mass destruction which I think will be used first. Of course the fallout aftermath will be downplayed but the goal of terror to civilization to restrain by shock and awe will be accomplished. Fear will be the motivator rather than human extinction. Control by mass fear. Human lives are expendable if the means justifies the end. That is not to downplay these lesser but weapons of mass destruction, but folks are sometimes so focused on armegeddian worldwide collapse that they lose sight of what the powers that be can do in a more managable yet also horrific manner. I think of importance to consider is the ultimate outcome of the aftermath, again, can be lied about much more easily also.

This wolrd is really going nowhere. I understand that we, the humans that live in it right now, would be the most affected, but from an objective perspective, we deserve it. We havent leant a thing from history, we repeat our mistakes periodically, we are just as divided as we have ever been and self centered in terms humanity has never seen before. I think he more than most should know the Secretary General also knows he's really saying "we'll destroy the world" but that it's a necessary means of communicating to Russia that they are going too far, so that Russia, where they also have functional brains, doesn't go too far.

Excluding minor conflicts in Yugoslavia, Bosnia, Afghanistan, and Libya, NATO has never been used offensively, so it's absurd to suggest that our defensive alliance would ever agitate for war against either Russia or the PRC. What the world needs to worry about is a bellicose SCO, now that Russia has sought to conquer Ukraine and the PRC is poised to invade Taiwan any day now.
