@@denisejohnson2960 may be. I don't believe from observation that DJT has any truth, he expresses what he feels will get him the desired reaction/result and that truth is not important to him. He is a very shrewd operator without morals. As to is truth relative to a person, I'd suggest that belief may be a better word....but language is fluid. I recently had a conversation about mm global warming. The scientist claimed that it was fact, and that a fact is fact and true by definition. I said, what if information is available or comes forth to prove otherwise? He said, then the facts change and the truth with them. I'd suggest again, that this is a belief not a fact...or another of saying it is ...the most likely. Like all of us, Chomsky is a repeater...he is spitting out regurgitated info with his take on it. That is different than saying that he is an elderly white male...using the agreed descriptive words and definitions. There are lots of very valid scientific sources of info that counter the mm global warming theory. Definition of theory can be another subjective word. Best wishes. Pretty grim stuff going on. The Mark Twain quote about history rhyming was appropriate. As Chomsky has been hinting at for some time now, thanks to collective lack of wisdom in using STEM to tackle the neo-malthusian problem of rising populations within limited natural resources - other than through zero-sum games played by extreme concentrations of wealth and power ... we will be lucky to survive the rest of this century as a species. It seems that populations beyond the community level inevitably drift towards a post-hoc rationalized political right of zero sum games both within the resulting hierarchy and between competing hierarchies. And with the nuclear weaponry we have now, I have doubts we will survive the next inevitable 'Tower of Babel' meltdown.

This is called the Oath of the Holy Covenant.. it is Extremely powerful. Deuteronomy 11:26-28 “Behold, I set before you today a blessing and a curse: the blessing, if you obey the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you today; and the curse, if you do not obey the commandments of the Lord your God, but turn aside from the way which I command you today, to go after other gods which you have not known. Deuteronomy 6:13 You shall fear the Lord your God and serve Him, and shall take oaths in His name. Deu 10:16-20 Therefore circumcise the foreskin of your heart, and be stiff-necked no longer. For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality nor takes a bribe. He administers justice for the fatherless and the widow, and loves the stranger, giving him food and clothing. Therefore love the stranger, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt. You shall fear the Lord your God; you shall serve Him, and to Him you shall hold fast, and take oaths in His name. Ezekiel 16:8 “When I passed by you again and looked upon you, indeed your time was the time of love; so I spread My wing over you and covered your nakedness. Yes, I swore an oath to you and entered into a covenant with you, and you became Mine,” says the Lord God. Ezekiel 16:59 For thus says the Lord God: “I will deal with you as you have done, who despised the oath by breaking the covenant. Exodus 19:5 Now therefore, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine. Leviticus 26:15-17 and if you despise My statutes, or if your soul abhors My judgments, so that you do not perform all My commandments, but break My covenant, I also will do this to you: I will even appoint terror over you, wasting disease and fever which shall consume the eyes and cause sorrow of heart. And you shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it. I will set My face against you, and you shall be defeated by your enemies. Those who hate you shall reign over you, and you shall flee when no one pursues you. Quran 2:80 And they say, "Never will the Fire touch us, except for a few days." Say, "Have you taken a covenant with Allah ? For Allah will never break His covenant. Or do you say about Allah that which you do not know?" Qur'an 2:98-100 Whoever is an enemy to Allah and His angels and His messengers and Gabriel and Michael - then indeed, Allah is an enemy to the disbelievers. And We have certainly revealed to you verses [which are] clear proofs, and no one would deny them except the defiantly disobedient. Is it not [true] that every time they took a covenant a party of them threw it away? But, [in fact], most of them do not believe. Qur'an 3:81 And [recall, O People of the Scripture], when Allah took the covenant of the prophets, [saying], "Whatever I give you of the Scripture and wisdom and then there comes to you a messenger confirming what is with you, you [must] believe in him and support him." [ Allah ] said, "Have you acknowledged and taken upon that My commitment?" They said, "We have acknowledged it." He said, "Then bear witness, and I am with you among the witnesses."

Nazi thing just doesn't work for me. Before Hitlers rise the world was a mess, Stalin was mass murdering people in Russia, enough to justify real concern from Germany, and like today many people fought over control of the German Government.. the same party that had power in Russia was also influencing power in Germany. War turned out bad for everyone, mainly the Russian German people but everyone suffered, so no such thing as a good war.. but I understand why it happened. Now the scary thing is Stalin wasn't defeated and went on to mass murder more people then died in world war 2 and our Government was very concerned about Bolshevism trying to come to America... I'm afraid it did under the name of Zionism. Many immigrants to Israel came from Stalins Russia.

Learn some history before you blabber on. Stalin was no hero, nor was Hitler nor anyone involved in mass murder. the first world war was horrible, many people died from all countries, Russia included. But Regarding Zionism, look what they have done to Palestine. Is that not mass murder? Oh just learn some world history & shut up.

@@Marxist2 The Arabs in Israel live better and safer lives than any other place in the ME. They can be citizens vote hold public office and participate in all aspects of Israeli society. What they can't be is a hostile nationalistic entity within our country. They could have had state 71 yrs ago in Jordan but chose war instead. Israel is was and will be the nation state of the Jewish people.

Chomsky is a remarkable intellect. He is somewhat confused about Czechoslovakia however. A fair number of Czechoslovakians welcomed the Nazi's. They were swep up in the Fuehrers fantasy. The incorrectly believed that the would benefit from Germany's largess. .

Chomsky talked about Repubs having 2 constituents: rich & powerful business owners, and voting dolts to keep giving them power. The thing is, as he acknowledges the Democratic party has moved right, they also have 2 constituents: the same rich & powerful business people, & grassroots voters whose interests as people are at odds with the Rich.

Well into his 90's and he is still sharp. Never a dull lecture or interview with Noam Chomsky. What I love about Noam is he is not so pure with his progressive/left wing ideas to the point where he will tell his listeners to stay home. He was the first one to tell people to vote for Hillary if you live in a battleground state like Ohio.
