Apparently, Noam is the 9th most quoted person in history. That is quite an accomplishment for someone still alive. What makes it even more special, he did it without the help of the mainstream media or political establishment which would prefer he was mute. Noam is a rockstar.

My father was a judge. He knew facts. No emotions. The same at home, he made us ready for rebellion. But he is so stupid. He has a possession very near the coast just next to The Netherlands and 20 meter from the sea by low tide .Until today climate doesn't change for him. Because he has 2 grandchildren and they will play in the sand like I did. He is 93. What I missed was an autoritiy with a broad view, not influenced be hidden emotions that he couldn't handle. People easily make their own truths, to be able to face them. They can lie about someone, until they really believe he or she is so bad and dangerous

Exactly. This is how important it is that he continues to lie about JFK. For ending wars, stabilizing and spreading peace, JFK was a traitor to the patriotism of the war planners. The real reasons for his death must be covered up to prevent the mainstream media's narration of American history from being democratized. Thank you Professor Chomsky for the most delicate of patriotic work: keeping the liberal/left from looking at the historical event that matters most to America and the world!

@@denisejohnson2960 may be. I don't believe from observation that DJT has any truth, he expresses what he feels will get him the desired reaction/result and that truth is not important to him. He is a very shrewd operator without morals. As to is truth relative to a person, I'd suggest that belief may be a better word....but language is fluid. I recently had a conversation about mm global warming. The scientist claimed that it was fact, and that a fact is fact and true by definition. I said, what if information is available or comes forth to prove otherwise? He said, then the facts change and the truth with them. I'd suggest again, that this is a belief not a fact...or another of saying it is ...the most likely. Like all of us, Chomsky is a repeater...he is spitting out regurgitated info with his take on it. That is different than saying that he is an elderly white male...using the agreed descriptive words and definitions. There are lots of very valid scientific sources of info that counter the mm global warming theory. Definition of theory can be another subjective word. Best wishes. Pretty grim stuff going on. The Mark Twain quote about history rhyming was appropriate. As Chomsky has been hinting at for some time now, thanks to collective lack of wisdom in using STEM to tackle the neo-malthusian problem of rising populations within limited natural resources - other than through zero-sum games played by extreme concentrations of wealth and power ... we will be lucky to survive the rest of this century as a species. It seems that populations beyond the community level inevitably drift towards a post-hoc rationalized political right of zero sum games both within the resulting hierarchy and between competing hierarchies. And with the nuclear weaponry we have now, I have doubts we will survive the next inevitable 'Tower of Babel' meltdown.

"have versus have not" and the haves don't like to share.. And then there is those who want without work and effort.. And then there are those who just take... From the beginning of time. I enjoy Mr Chomsky on many but not all issues.

Thank you Amy the darker the world gets the brighter your light shines . My question is not especially to you Amy I already know your answer.because of your video. If you/we heard the news that Socrates, or Plato was speaking in public for an hour. Would we go listen to them?

"I'm not impressed." What a rightwing former colleague of mine said about Chomsky. This is the attitude of the typical conservative about high intelligence and wisdom.

Chomsky is a remarkable intellect. He is somewhat confused about Czechoslovakia however. A fair number of Czechoslovakians welcomed the Nazi's. They were swep up in the Fuehrers fantasy. The incorrectly believed that the would benefit from Germany's largess. .

Chomsky talked about Repubs having 2 constituents: rich & powerful business owners, and voting dolts to keep giving them power. The thing is, as he acknowledges the Democratic party has moved right, they also have 2 constituents: the same rich & powerful business people, & grassroots voters whose interests as people are at odds with the Rich.
