Too bad his fear of a cold virus, made his ideas of sending the unvaccinated to the " 🏝️" Island, lol. Someone should have helped him out a little bit with those statements, otherwise awesome 👍,& a man of our History!! To be expected,he is 90 + years old,& time for another to take the torch 🔦 fill the void.

@ 25:00 "this is a recipe for a lot of trouble in the future" he's predicting what's now happening in Syria, what's happened already in Libya, what continues to happen in Israel, and what's about to happen with Iran. Amazing.

As someone just coming into these topics with interest, I am fascinated by the negative comments posted to this video. I would love to hear a friendly debate between those pros and cons to this video to understand why some would call him controlled opposition. I am listening to this for my first time, apparently 20 years after the speech was originally recorded, and quite a bit of it seems like accurate representations, but I would imagine if I heard this in 99, I would not even "get" any of this. I definitely appreciate both sides of these video comments, but I wish there was less ad hominem attacks and more reason/facts to support a negative view as that would better help me form a critical view.

It is not an, ' ad hominem ', attack to state reality about Chomsky: He is just a Linguistics Professor, who merely criticizes others in areas that he has ZERO Real World Experience in himself, and with the great luxury of 20/20 Hindsight! This is the forensic equivalent of Chomsky watching video of Last Week's NFL game, pointing out the losing team's mistakes, and using that knowledge to judge the performance of the players & coaches on the field! Which makes Chomsky no more than a very intelligent-sounding Monday-Morning-Quarterback, and renders his criticisms of others essentially worthless!

Well its a lot like Global Warming. A person can either accept an inconvenient truth, or just say, its a load of rubbish, Michael Mann and his buddies don't know what they're talking about, its not real science, they should talk about something else that they really know about instead etc.

@@mck1972 Your ignorance is not surprising. Chomsky has been an activist for longer than you have been alive. He has educated and protested in countries you didn't even know existed. To say he has "no real world experience" just shows how dumb you are. You are too lazy apparently to read a bio let alone educate yourself on concepts and ideologies. He is not just a linguistics professor; He's philosopher, cognitive scientist, historian, social critic, and political activist among many other things. He's also authored over 100 books which is quite the accomplishment by itself. You're just some angry politically motivated child. How about you pick up a book and learn to think for yourself. Now that we're on the topic. What do you do? Have you even attempted to leave the world a better place than you found it or do you just criticize the ones that do?

I have to laugh that someone has put a “context“ information panel with a link to Wikipedia entry for “new world order“ about conspiracy theories. Chomsky’s speech has nothing whatsoever to do with the “New World order“ as described in that Wikipedia entry😂

***** It's been shown that conspiracy theorists have the tendency to not only believe just about any conspiracy theory thrown at them, but they even believe entirely made up content. The way you're speaking is so ridiculous that I thought you were joking at first. I actually can't believe people think that every jew is part of a huge conspiracy. That's just embarrassing.

Don't try to dismiss me, if you want to make an argument, then man up and make it. I am very aware of how many Jews are in various fields. There is a high percentage in my own field of mathematics. But to think there is some kind of conspiracy is actual idiocy, and only idiots would think that way. What I'm saying, to be clear, is that you're a bigoted idiot.

I'm kind of stupid for even thinking about engaging in a conversation with someone like yourself, in your defense. I mean, there have been studies on how conspiracy theorists receive and react to completely made up garbage, and it's the same as how they act toward the "true" conspiracies. The point is, you all work together in a narrow minded community, click on google articles and read the first paragraph and call that "doing your research", assert the stupidity of everyone who doesn't accept your garbage hypotheses, then assert how obvious the conspiracy really is without providing a shred of actual evidence. Get a clue, get a life, and get some better hobbies.

Chomsky is an elitist. He has profound “thoughts” and “ideas”, but lacks, in a very heavy sense, action. I work as an electrician, and after producing work on projects that have a great benefit to the people who seek a solution to their problem, with sacrifice on my part, I can tell you that I believe Chomsky talks the talk, and that is all. If he were asked to escape instead of eating the hemlock, he would without doubt run, and never look back.

And what 'action' would you recommend people do to counter the global corporations? All physical action against these bodies are futile as they're backed by every country's own military, -only calm, open, intelligent and respectful debate like he's putting forth can push back the dark controlling forces. Sure, he's chosen to be a part of the education system which is ruled by the corporations too, but I would say he reasoned that it was kind of necessary in order to get his message out there, -he's infiltrated the system basically, in order to get away with exposing the sickening control the corporations have over the planet. He's very careful what he says because he knows full well that if he 'calls for action' in any way he'd be assasinated. Protests, or any physical rebellion against the system has been made illegal in all ways and is exactly what the authorities want us to do as then they can call us terrorists ,radicals, etc...The solution? To keep calm and focused on positivity and engage in open dialogue with each other at every chance. We are all emitting energy fields, these are stronger than any physical action we do. Warfare is obsolete, we're in an Age now of psychological warfare, the elite against the people, using media to brainwash us all repeatedly, therefore the only way to fight back is psychologically..the one's organizing 'protests' ,shouting in the streets disrespectfully, they're only adding more violent power to those in control. We can create our own society though, peacefully, nothing is actually stopping us..

@@jaymurdoch6161 calm voices will never quell a tyrants rage, whether it be a sole despot or a collective tyranny. Only thing that has solved the very real problem of oppression is action. Thoughtful words alone will not free slaves from bondage or elevate man out of poverty. It must be used in conjunction with action, and this is why I have such distaste for Chomsky. He would have you believe that deep intellectual thought is all that’s needed to secure a peaceful and prosperous future, but he’s wrong. Sitting around all day, discussing philosophical ideas will achieve nothing without standing up and making hay while the sun shines.
