Its October 2023, and I'm glad I can find these Chomsky lectures in such an awful time. Thank you

More people need to review this as over 35 years later everything Chomsky talks about is still relevant to the Palestinian crisis. Particularly important is his explanation of rejectionism.

Sorry Sir. I am not in a state where I can pay full attention to your lectures. And I won't like to have it any other way.

Professor from Bernard who compared Palestinian plight with Native Americans I've heard from Likud members in Israel myself. They were talking in disdain of Palestinians just like southern U.S. bigots, and not in loving tones like Archie Bunker either. I've always thought the U.S. needs to at least put troops on the ground in Gaza, or allow the UN to do so. Eisenhower was a Sweedish Jew, Johnson was a Texas Jew, and Kissinger is a German Jew, time to let Palestine have their Balfour moment.

I had to look up Archie Bunker, although I had heard that name somewhere on TV, I had never bothered to know who that was. Now I understand why the reference to the "lovable bigot". As for Balfour moment I also had to read up on that, I've know that the British were instrumental in establishing the state of Israel. I was not aware of the Balfour Declaration. Thanks

@@rrasin1 Your welcome. It's surprising what they think American kids should know about history. Balfour was a dangerous ignored pretext by 1924. The Spanish Flu was over, and they started making more war ships. More babies could be made, and they could have another World War.

@@robertrichard6107 I loved history in my elementary and high school. It wasn't until I attended my undergrad and graduate studies programs that I learned the full scope many of the past and present issues that are not taught in our formative years. Have you read "War is a Racket" being that I served in our military that book written by two time medal of honor recipient was eye opening. The constant lies and deception dizzying to say the least.

@@rrasin1 I was in a childhood 'paramilitary' club called the 'Wolverines' we studied Smedley some. I've never read all of his book, but investigated many of the incidents he was involved in. Surprisingly he was mentioned in a public junior high school I attended, but I went to mostly parochial K-12 where history was mostly neoliberal spin if it was blessed by the Judeo-Christians I should say. I have an Antarctic Service Medal, and I am a Viet Nam Era, Libya, Lebanon, Libya, Persian Gulf I war, naval aviation veteran sadly. I think they knocked off FDR finally in '45 then went after Forestall.

@@robertrichard6107 its honor and thank you for your service Sir. You have quite a career under your belt very impressive. The first one being your Antarctic medal which is one of the rarest medals most humans will never go past the 60th degree line since its so inhospitable. My stint in the Marine Corp was nothing special since it was during peace time right before 911 is when I discharged the Marines so I never deployed other than to the fleet but spent most of my time in Camp Pendleton near San Diego. My MOS was in logistics not the most exciting job but it was a great life experience. So no complaints, about that. But as I get older I cant help but get disillusioned by our government's actions past and present. I'm still love my country but I cant help the feeling like we as a nation have so much innocent blood on our hands. I use to believe that we stood for democracy and freedom but I realize that was just cover for big business and its stake holders whats gonna happen when big business no longer needs the American Citizenry, I worry for the future of my children and future ancestors.

Now, in 2020 Israeli F-35's (with bombays, not ordinance hung on wings) can take off with their bombay doors closed and no one knows easily if they're loaded with smart bombs or not.

Prof. Chomsky refers to Israel as a democracy 😂 Great underscore about Kissinger and what happened in 1971. Waiting to hear about USS Liberty in '67. I thought Saudi elites were Wahabi's -- honorary Jews.
