G'huun's appearance along with the white/red stuff all over the walls is based on a REAL mushroom (the bleeding heart fungus). They duplicated the look almost exactly. The real mushroom is really creepy looking. You'd expect it to be deadly...but while unappetizing and nasty tasting, it's not poisonous at all.

I do have to agree with you Nobbel that it would have been nice for the Alliance to get some little breadcrumb into Uldir. Because as an alliance player... why exactly am I supposed to go into this titan facility? Noone let me even KNOW that there's a titan facility on Zandalar. I know there are blood trolls, I know there are sanlayn, I know about a blood prince and that I dont like him very much, for some reason. But from an alliance perspective I feel incredibly sheltered from this plotline. And it irks me.

There's pretty much no reason for the Alliance to invade Uldir, as I 100% believe that canonically; the Alliance do not involve themselves in Uldir. The blood troll plotline is completely Horde content and the Alliance don't really do much of anything with them. They just try to make allies in Zandalar. (Enemy of my enemy is my friend style.) but horrifically discover their emissaries are killed, drained, and even betrayed by a commander who fell for G'huun's promises. Beyond that... They are not treated to discover the old god. Which leaves me to believe the Alliance do not touch Uldir.

I mean the start of the Nazmir section in the war campaign has us clash with G'huun's minions right from the start. The only problem is they didn't add some kind of dialogue. We know Brann likes titan stuff, we know Bran was there and we know Bran was looking into G'huun after our encounter with his minions in Nazmir.

It's true. Blizzard got extremely lazy for this "questline" into G'huun. I would've enjoyed more going into the Blighted Lands first... Perhaps they could've released the two raids at the same time, but faction gating them for a couple of weeks? After all, they DID change the way World First Achievements work

In hindsight, it kind of bothers me what they did with Zul. They could have easily created a character to fit the same role, and I don't think Zul's trajectory into a blind servant of G'huun makes much sense with his prior characterization. Or at the very least, I don't think it makes much sense for them to just throw away a major lore character like that.

Isn't the General outside Yogg's room the same? I've only heard the NPC's call it a "C'Thraxx", and I don't know if that is just the vague term they give to all Old Gods Generals, but I thought there were various types, basically one for each Old God, though Aqir is a new name to me... So maybe he's the same as the C'Thraxxi that served C'Thun or Yogg but the name is irrelevant? Just a General Genus and names are only a matter of knowing which served whom, and not some new species of Void Creature.

Here is my question, why did the keepers keep Ghuun alive? With the Old Gods, they were so massive and intertwined with Azeroth, killing them would be catastrophic. But Ghuun is just a oversized slug. If mortals could beat him, surely the Titan keepers whom have part of the Titian essence themselves can destroy a creature with ease. It makes no sense... or does it. The final death rattle, where he says he has put himself in us (that's what she said) ...maybe we have a dormant infection that will shatter the bonds of N'zoth and kick off the Hour of Twilight.... dun dun dun!

Someone must have pointed this out already but that cut scene is triggered by doing the second part of the Vol'jin questline, which is just a quest you can pick up on the Horde side. You can trigger it even by completing the quest in LFR, so it's available to any difficulty.

I found it odd that MOTHER would just tell Brann how to destroy G'huun, but then I reran some of the dungeons/raids with him being recognized by Titan machinery and realized he's practically a skeleton key when it comes to any Titan facility. Or, in less meta terms, being recognized by other facilities and constructs may have marked him as 'authorized' personnel. Plus he's a dwarf, so there's that.

I don't think G'huun gave Zul his visions. Zul had been having them since he was a child, and the power is called the Sight in a Zuldazar quest which is the same name for Velen's power. He's also not the only troll that has them, like there was his student. And lastly, the Old Gods warning him about the Cataclysm which was their plan wouldn't make any sense.

I'm not saying they would have given him his visions, how ever it does make a bit of sense to get him a vision of the cataclysm. He would go around warning the trolls about the Cataclysm, no one listens to him, it hits and throws the empire into chaos and then Zul can show up and take a position of power, claiming he knew this would happen all along. Though in the opening stuff for Zandalar it seems some of the trolls mock him because the cataclysm didn't do as much damage as he seemed to claim it would.

I have heard a thory and Uld is the titan languages word for Azeroth, so all the facilities starting with Uld will let the speaker know what planet they are talking about. And that theory states that Ant is the name for Argus so since Antorus was were Arguses world soul lived, then UIdorus which was mentioned in game, is where we will find Azeroths world soul

The old gods, in and of themselves are parasites. So what they tried to do was replicate the concept of an Old God, and research how to destroy it. They used material and the general purpose of old gods to discern its use. And perhaps find a solution to kill an old god without harming the planet. Much like a tick, the old gods feed on planets. When they ripped Y'saarj from Azeroth, it caused immense damage, and a lingering curse to Azeroth's frame. Which is why they sealed the Old Gods. Much like if you carelessly rip a tick from your body, you risk being infected by Lyme disease. One has to learn how to treat removal, or how to contain the damage. Which, at the time unfinished.

No, that's not the same kind of Re-origination. The Reorigination in Ulduar was meant to be an outside device that would've wiped all life on Azeroth. The Reorigination drive in Uldir is a minor device that helps purge away the inside denizens.

Don't think anyone has equipped it because of the ilvl dip... I can try in LFR on my Lock first then my Priest once they're raid ready (since I've never heard my artifact Tmog talk ever I assume it's disabled through that feature)

If you are referring to the shadow priest artifact weapon then no it doesn't. Side note though: if you transmog it then it will still whisper to you as if it is equipped.

idk i can only personally speak for myself (being a priest) but to get the coloration your after u need to take your artifact to the legion alter where u can change the colors, have it equipped, and just select the color. that will sort it out for you

Cool dungeon but pretty meh ending. We go in, we stop him... the end? So easy? So fast? Some bosses need more than 1 raid or dungeon. I'm starting to hate the WoW style of PVE. This one really needed more. What if we fight him in, then lose or defeat him and he escapes and starts corrupting the outside world a little bit? Then perhaps we stop him? I swear.. if Nzoth is just a boss that you kill in the end of some dungeon and you never meet him again or before that... (or even worse.. Sargares like boss that you dont ever face..) Is it really too hard for them to make 2 raids with the same boss? I mean.. Legion should have been a 2 expansion story.. it felt too fast and quick for something so major. Literally the whole WoW lore and backbone of WC3. Are blizzard lazy to make the bosses deeper and more interesting? The build up to this boss was great, it almost made me fear him and then boom.. you face him.. you end him.. cya? MEH I SAY.

Well sure, i don't want them to do it for every boss.. but some bosses are just too strong to be killed in a single raid or even expansion. Lore wise, they are OP as hell. Thats pretty much how most raid bosses end in wow.. 1 raid = over. We never get to see anything cool outside the raids (if we do, its usually a line here, a visit there.. barely anything interesting or major/world changing) or even going from 1 raid to another. Kael is like the only boss that moves from 1 place to another and he has horrible WoW lore.. Hes mostly a WC3 character. I wish they did this kind of thing more. Not everyone should be kill-able on the first try, why can't people just get it? They get bored and tired of the same thing huh? Is this game for kids or women? Most people that i know wish they would expand some of the bosses into other expansions and raids/dungeons and add more lore to them. Add them in multiple zones, in quests, in cinematic and more. KilJaeden in legion was a huge fail. The boss itself is fine, but the character that we barely see.. and there is a video of him for a bit.. When they brought back Ragnaros, people bitched. When Deathwing had 2 phases, a few morons bitches, when they brought back Archimonde and Kil'Jaeden people threw a shit fit. Blizzard established LONG AGO that we never killed C'Thun and Yogg and it looks like later this xpac (or next for Black Empire) we'll be getting Return to Ulduar to fight everyone's favorite raid boss again, yet still even with all the hype train and nostalgia still there are those who cry about "lazy writing" and "recycled content". If Blizzard were to make G'Huun, an ARTIFICIAL Old God take up two raids, people will legit quit playing WoW because "lack of creativity to give us a new boss". The community as a whole is selfish and has a low attention span (thus largely why LFR exists) so Blizzard has to protect their assets.

i actually like your idea of not winning the fight against a boss at first. Sure we can get a loot chest for trying but we didn't win in the end. Only time they came close to this was with the Lich King. He technically killed us all then Tyrion escaped his prison and he saved the day with Uther. But how surprised would everyone be when we actually fail at the end of a raid. idk something different.

Yeah, people would accuse Blizz of recycling bosses. Plus, we technically for all of the Horde leveling experience that was devoted to the slow release of G'huun. That's like...7 to 10 levels worth of content that was devoted to explaining the seals, what they do, and the slow betrayal of Zul due to G'huun.

No, its Prophet Zul, as he is reborn. He did die, but was reanimated by G'huun's magic. Sort of a blood pawn. Even in all that fire; his body was put back together by the blood god's magic and made as a defense against the invaders. He was undead at that moment, purely fueled by G'huun's magic. When we kill him; even when fueled by the old god. Zul cries out he wasn't promised a second death. he was to be elevated to godhood, or second in command aside G'huun for loyal service.
