Nathanos, following the guidance of the blade of the black empire, leads the Alliance and Horde out at sea. Queen Azshara uses this oppertunity to spring her trap. The sea splits and Nazjatar is revealed. Now the factions decide to turn their weapons away from oneanother and focus on the queen herself. Entering the Eternal Palace to stop the queen. Will they be able to stop her schemes

N'zoth was surprisingly gentle when picking Azshara up, considering he could fling her around like a ragdoll since she's dead/unconscious. But instead he was very careful when picking her up and turning her over, even providing back and head support to prevent whiplash when he yeeted out of there.

Hoping we don't see sylvanas as a raid boss..if she ends up one I'll be quitting WoW.... more so if she truly does burn down Thunderbluff because Baine got rescued. Nathanos can be a raid boss but not the dark lady... I..I've been trying the entire expac to believe she has a reason for her madness and I still hope she does... I've been a fan of her since I started playing in Vanilla but... to see her go out like that dog Garrosh... would be too much for me. All the people saying she is going to be a repeat of siege of Orgrimmar just..makes me so sad.. I still hope I don't have to kill my queen... to be forced to kill her would just kill the story for me. If her story must end let it end but not by the player's hand... let it be either by her own or that of the newly freed god..all I ask at this point. @@Icepawthewolf Of course she has a reason. Every good villain who isn't Joker crazy has a rational. Her's has been survival, something that only becomes assured when everyone bows before her. Think back to her conversation explaining why she began the war. Sylvanas will never die naturally, so she always has to worry about what will happen next generation. She needs the alliance dead, the horde subservient or dead, and Azeroth (the titan) and the old gods dead. Her enemy "is life itself."

For all those who think the lines about her 3rd death are referring to Sylvanas I think this is completely incorrect as we have already seen her die three times. Her first obviously being at the hand of arthas, her second when she killed herself after we took down arthas and then the third which many people seem to forget when she was at the battle for Gilneas and was backstabbed by Lord Godfrey resulting in three of her Valkyrie sacrificing themselves to revive her.

every titan is the embodiment of an aspect right? azeroth is the embodiment of undeath. we have a long history of undeath on this planet. and who-else would be speaking to vol-jinn and converting his spirit? who would see the benefit of sylvanas as war-chief while mangi is a pawn of the old gods? azeroth - the titan of undeath. this would also explain why burning the world tree would be a good thing. azeroth knows the old gods already need the trees to break out - see ill'ganoth and how yogg-sarron used the tree in northrend to access the dream. there is an emerald dream, and the shadow lands. each intrinsic to azeroths creation, and existence

I think your forgetting one thing though.....undeath is unnatural by its very nature. Now if you want to say she is the Titan of death, I can get behind that concept, but undeath is something that isn't something that can exist on its own as a fundamental element of existence, which most of the titans seem to represent in some manner. Undeath is a result of natural forces, not a natural force in and of itself.

@@samuelazzaro By Warcraft lore and the creation of all things. Necromancy and undeath is apart of the universe. So it is natural by the World of warcraft universes standpoint. All things exist, there for they are natural to that existence. When something is brought in, even through unnatural means, it becomes natural in the world. Undeath is common in the universe of Wow anyways. The spirit healers, Bwonsamdi, how Demon souls dont just die out right unless killed in their home. Its actually rather integral to wow.

Sylvanas will die. Blizzard has been very literal with the quotes from I'll gynoth. "To find HIM, drown yourself in the circle of stars" To find N'zoth, go underwater to the circle of stars. "The king of diamonds has been made a pawn" A literal quote from Aszhara. "Her heart is a crater, and we have filled it" Sylvanas is corrupted. --- At the hour of her third death, she ushers in our comming. ---

@@Ashod00 the black empire was a world ruled by all the old gods, but before the Titans came they had no common enemy, and none of their subjects could challenge them, so they ended up fighting each other instead. Possibly for territory or something, so it might be possible that N'zoth doesn't want them to rise, but i dont know ofcourse.

I'm not convinced by claims that her resuscitated face shows fear/pain because of what Nzoth is going to do with her. In my opinion the partnership is still going strong, she did after all keep her end of the bargain and got him "unshackled" (no pun intended). So as far as i know this makes Nzoth think there's good in keeping her, hence the gentle revive and teleport to safety. In my opinion, if 9.0 will not be black empire themed (which would be lovely if it did), then obviously we're going to have to face Nzoth in 8.3 and i think that we'll encounter Azshara yet again. This time it will be an Azshara that's actually blessed with Old God power. Call it Void Sorceress if you want. She'll be much more powerful than the Naga Azshara. (Remember the naga-ification of her was performed by Nzoth when he was still in prison), now that he's free, and also that she's proven herself to him, old god knows what he can do with her this time. (that pun was intended). Raid-wise in 8.3, i think she's coming back bigger and stronge. She is going to be the Elisande to Nzoth's Guldan. The penultimate boss. That also plays into Blizz's promises for Sylvanas to not be another Garrosh.

Nyarlathotep is a Lovecraftian Old God, so I think Nyarlotha is also a reference to the influence of their creation :)

I dont know if you can apply that logic. Azeroth in my opinion is derived from Azathoth the old god who dreams the world. While Azathoth in lovecrafts world is basically the biggest baddest thing that rules all big and bad things, in WoW there are other forces to fill that spot. (maybe voidlords idk) So Nyarlotha might just be named after Nyarlatothep and could just as well be a Titan or some other primordial thing. But the "Influence of their creation" is a great way of describing Nyarlatothep in the Lovecraft universe, since a lot of people think Nyarlatothep is just the human form the old gods use and does not actually exist.

It's deliberately set up to look similar. The only reason to do that whilst knowing the community doesn't want Garrosh 2: Orgrimmar bogaloo, is to set up for a twist. Only time will tell if the twist is any good.

Sylvanas has already had three deaths. Arthas, Suicide and Godfrey so I doubt it's her. As for Azshara I don't think this could even count as her second death, more likely her first one.

You can easily consider the time she drowned and had to accept the deal as her first death in a philosophical sense, then she died a second time now, and chances are Black Empire 2: Electric Boogaloo doesnt go down in full force until Azshara went down for the final, third time.

Caleborn the thing is she never drowned, she was about to but N’Zoth saved her by transforming her, in the raid she never died. She was over powered, was exhausted and went unconscious that’s all. Before Jaina and Lorthe’mar could finish her off N’Zoth was set free and he saved her by giving her strength back dragging her down the abyss or below.

I still don't get why horde and alliance immediately went back to fighting at the start of this expansion, after allying in every single expansion since vanilla. It's almost like the entirety of azeroth is an AI whose default program to run is "alliance vs horde" and it just defaults to it after any unusual circumstance has been dealt with.

The blade didnt dissapear there is a quest line you get from doing WQ were you fight off the naga where you pick up something called 'Azharas orders' and take it to a tortollan where he leads you to a powerful artifact that the naga were ordered to find which happens to be the blade of the black empire.

An Easter Egg in video games are very secret and joining Azshara is not secret, so joining Azshara is not an easter egg is a choice since you can decide to join her. How she can place me under her control? You know? I always found stupid that character like Azshara can easily place anyone under her control without an explanation. Thank you Nobbel for answering the question I had at the question of who is going to be the end boss of BfA. How many valkyr does Sylvanas have left. So even at her 3rd death, she's got a way of coming back. Unless her instance is kill 3 valks to get to her, or an ellisandre style fight where you have to kill her multiple times because of valk rezzing. That could be interesting. It wouldnt be the first time we had a final boss in 3 part format with Garrosh having multiple health pools, Ellisandre needing to be killed 3 times with her time rewind thing. So giving Sylvannas multiple health pools with valk rezzing could be interesting. I can envision an instance where she appears multiple times throughout the instance. Kill her, move forward, see a dead valk and her scampering off... its a bit of a callback to her retreat through the elf gates as Arthas pressed in on her. Kind of poetic. But only the future will tell us what the fight actually is.

This may be a little off topic but hear me out - I was reading Tides of War and the book mentioned that Garrosh was going to, at some point, push the Night Elves out of Teldrasill and make them refugees in Eastern Kingdoms and since he had ALL the soldiers that took part in the Battle at Theramore take part in his celebration of their victory it may be possible that the Horde Leaders, except Baine and Vol'jin cause they went to Razor Hill instead, were present there which would mean Sylvanas would be at the celebration. We know what she does with Teldrasill, So what if BFA isn't a Garrosh 2.0 but rather a continuation of what Garrosh had originally planned to do before he got killed? I literally just thought about this so if there are loopholes that's why 😅

Sylvanas already died three times, right? As a high elf, between WOTLK and Cataclysm, and then during that low level Horde quest in Cataclysm again. So in theory it couldn't be her, but in practice...retcon? edit: Also, I guess if Azshara's original "death" by drowning counts (though she did seem quite alive when transformed) she'd only have 1 to go...

A slight correction. If the wards all are powered down, it basically causes the barrier around the platform to fail and you get crushed beneath the weight of the surrounding depths. If us losing was what it took to override the wards keeping N'Zoth imprisoned than she wouldn't say that he was wrong that we weren't worthy. The wards are keeping us alive basically. And that is actually mentioned in the journal.

So, crazy theory, the next patch involves us fighting Sylvanas after she tries to destroy thunder bluff. Meanwhile, we receive quests in Northrend and Sylathus, during which we "get their too late" and a final quest in Pandaria where Ya-sharage if resurrected and the expansion ends with the return of the black empire who plan to finish corrupting Azeroth and have sent out a signal to the Void Lords to gather for the final act. Then we get a final Wow expansion dealing with the final battle against the void.

Also in regards to Bwonsamdoodi, I think he has a boss akin to Hades and Thanatos. I think there is a higher "death god" that bwonsamdi answers to, and he is just a soul waylayer.

With that last piece of dialogue, I really hope this doesn’t become another Siege of Ogrimmar (or if it does, not be a copy-paste of the Garrosh version). I do wonder where the story’s gonna go, especially since Sylvanas still has some Val’kyr left and we haven’t heard from her or Nathanos since we left for Nazjatar.

It is Sylvanas. She has died twice once by Arthas and again during the quest line in the undead starting area. If shes the final boss of BFA her 3rd death (by us) will bring in the age of the Black Empire somehow.

I'm not sure why Blizzard makes the option to join to Azshara when they never gave us any reason for it. Optional choice only works when they have a huge effect on the story and when there is a reason behind them, and so far staying loyal to Sylvanas or join to Azshara has proved to be completely pointless.

Assuming bliz decides that the next patch will be the last I feel like Silvi and N'zoth being part of the same raid as they stated that this won't end the same way as Panda. So I can't imagine Silvi being the final boss of this expansion and I feel like N'zoth has been built to be the final boss for this expansion for a good while now.

There could be a scenario where Nzoth is endgame boss for BfA AND 9.0 being old god themed, hear me out on this: Upon his release, Nzoth's first order of business is to bring back his bretheren (at least the one's who weren't properly and permanently killed like Ysharaj). That means he'd bring back/release Yog'Saron, Cthun, and maybe Ghuun? After doing the deed, he is then killed in the BfA finale of 8.3 along with Azshara, but by then we'd know where the game is heading for 9.0..: WoW: Return of the Black Empire.

The only place we've heard that it was said the cinematic would give us a better idea of who the final boss of the expansion is what Taliesin and Evitel that said Ion said while they were at Blizzard HQ for the 8.2 summit. We haven't heard this directly from anyone at Blizzard.

In before as Sylvanas dies Nalthanos seals her spirit inside the blade to bring her back later on. I'm starting to think though, in the books with the picture of all the sources that make up reality, light, void, life, death etc. These unknown void creatures are the top tier of the void as Sargaras was pretty much top tier for Fel, maybe even high end mid tier. Kel'jaden etc lower tier, Old Gods, mid to lower tier. Lich King, Bwonsamdi, lower tier of Death. So maybe there is a high tier on the Death scale that's talking with Sylvanas literally trying to do what the Void and Fel were, trying to take over. Other's on that side respect the balance but maybe someone has gone rogue and wants Death to be all? If any of that makes sense.

Nobbel I am curious to hear your thoughts on the one plothole of 8.2 that I picked up on; what exactly happened to Nathanos Blightcaller? he was on the ship, and I think he was the first questgiver but then he vanishes and has yet to be seen in the zone again

RoboBongoCuckooCop Not necessarily a plot hole. If you wait around after he gives you his quest, you will see him walk off and disappear into the wall of water to parts unknown. He’s probably gone to find what Sylvanas sent him for with the blade in hand, which is obviously not in the playable parts of Nazjatar. If you think about the recent rumors we’ve had, this could lead to Nathanos going off to find Nyalotha.

I do think Ashvane was always with the Naga, remember that here plan to take over Kul’tiras depended on the fleet staying lost, and I also think all the problems in Kul’tiras where because of her, so she must had have work with N’zoth and the Naga since before

I didn't realize that Sylvanas only had 3 Vylkyr left - I bet the final boss will be us fighting her, and we'll have to kill her three times to defeat her. "At the hour of her third death, she will usher in our coming." So maybe it's not related to her third death subsequent to the original death by Arthas and the second suicidal death off of Icecrown, but the Horde and Alliance actually killing her three times (ie: 3 phases) after the Vylkyr resurrect her over and over again trying to keep her alive! Or perhaps she's trying to stop N'Zoth, and after the Old God Minions kill her three times during the raid, no one powerful enough is able to stop their release and thus they arrive.

biggest complaint with the story, you have basically ants fighting gods. Blizzard had you fight titans, beings of basically unlimited power, and somehow win. Ya you fought C'thun, and Yog'Saron, but that was 1/10 or so of their true power. Nzoth is completely free, to fight him would be like a rain hitting an umbrella, annoying but nothing else.

Good stuff! I hold no ilusion that any of our choices will actually matter. But a big fan of Sylvanas and her forsaken. But im just as big fan of Azshara and the nagga if not more of a fan of them then sylvanas and the forsaken. But it more or less went the way i expected but ether way im VERRY happy to see that Nzoth if free and realizing that her plan was never World domination but to free nzoth and use the peopel of azeroth to fill it to the brim with Power that we gatherd for azshara to free nzoth and she pulled it of and for that i like her even more. And i love it that she whistles on a few of the Words and the voice actress have done a extreamly good job voicing azshara. But ether way its going to be interesting to see what Nzoth have planed, what Sylvanas and her boyfriend have planed, what happens to Azshara so its interesting times in deed now in WoW. Peopel have bin wanting Nzoth to return and for the black empire to rise again so it looks like ppl might get axactly what they want. Im for one am happy that Azshara pulled off her plan and basicly won. Reguardles of what happens to Azshara she's won and the entire BFA is to free Nzoth this have bin some masterfull planing of the highest caliber and that makes me respect her and like her so much more. She's an Amazing character and im exited to see what comes next. Or you could say come what may but Nzoth is free and Azshara and the Nagga have won. And i think thats it for tonight.

I think 8.3 should be the focus of horde and alliance dealing with the warchief and everything. Once that is done and settled, horde and alliance should focus on N'zoth in 8.4

Sylvanas died by the hand of the lich king, then she committed suicide, so she would be pretty obvious for the one with the 3rd death. Personaly I would find it weird if it was Azshara they meant, since her 2nd death JUST happened... Meh, don't like where this is going...

Any idea if we gonna see Azshara anytime soon? She was one of my favorite damn.. They really ruined it's fight. Most powerful sorcerer gets rekt by bunch of poggos thats really makes no sense.. I really expected it will be very very difficult fight like the Cthun but well bfa and game gets very much simpler solo type play. Good Lore btw it's nice to see a new video! Btw seek out the Helya / Slyvanas / Bwonsamdi / Nzoth and void lords connection i think something big will come in next expension tho we beat the titans what else can be worse than that :D
