Stiles actually had a lot of skill, I have searched the internet for footage of a goal he scored. It was a late equaliser at Fulham in the late 60s (final score was 2-2). I was at the game but being a kid, my view was impaired. A lot of games were not televised then so I guess I'll have to leave it to my imagination. Best actually scored while lying on his back - something he did a lot off the pitch too, apparently :)

I think that he compares to Paul Scholes in many ways. He was a brilliant passer, he read the game brilliantly, he was a battler, he was a true midfielder, a play maker, he took anybody on, he was good with both feet, he had great reaction time, he could turn on an atom, he could use his head on the ball and he never stopped until the whistle blew.

Un boucher au service du football, une honte ce type, en plus international, c'est dommage ce genre d'individu rend vraiment service au ballon rond lorsqu'il se retire de la compétition. Un destructeur qui n'avait vraiment rien à faire dans des matchs de foot.
