Quality that dad. Loved learning about him, obviously before my time but he epitomises the spirit of Yanited!

Nobby Stiles was a legend. Thankfully I'm old enough to remember him playing and those hefty laced footballs. A really interesting video. Thank you 👏👏👏

Enjoyed your video and learning the history of Nobby Stiles, he was normal young man from a working class family to become one of Manchester United legends.

Thanks for watching Sue…he most certainly was, working class and achieved something only others could dream about

Had the pleasure to have seen Nobby in his prime I met him at a sportsman’s dinner he admitted that he didn’t think he would have made it at United but for the disaster an absolute top man rest in peace.

I use to live around the corner in collyhurst, from the stiles family as a young lad, I was a city fan,and always had a bit of banter with nobby. Great block with a great sense of humour. Glad I got to meet him.

Absolute legend that fella. Tough lad who fought for his position in the team with every bone in his body...didn't know he was married to Johnny Giles sister. Very apt that he was laid to rest in Stretford. They loved him in that stand...excellent tribute Steve👏👏

Thanks for this. Although a City supporter I regard him as one of the great players of all time. So glad you mentioned his battle with Eusebio also a great player but frightened of getting hurt and Stiles knew this and marked him so closely that one of the best players on the planet scarcely touched the ball - I have never ever seen such a great piece of marking.

He was a great player and a lovely man, when my husband an I ran a pub Charlestown Rd in Blackley we went to a night with Nobby in another local pub but people or Nobby and us got the wrong night but nobody turned up, but nevertheless we chatted for a couple of hours till we all had to go and it was a better more personal night we ever could of thought. R.I.P. Nobby. 🙏🏻🌹
