Thank you for that compact and concise review. For me what makes a good car is the actual real life efficiency under medium loads in variable weather circumstances. The overall efficiency of a vehicle is derived from packaging. For me there is nothing fascinating about vehicles that are built with the help of child slave labor who are used at nickel and cobalt mining in africa so that we could buy into the green zero emission future of 500bhp + offroad hypercar coupe type niche vehicles that literally weigh over 2 times more than a basic Dacia Jogger or even a duster if we compare it to a 2.9 tonne mercedes eqs. I am a sinner who has a 2022 Dacia Duster because it was one of the very few new cars I could afford and since I live where there are snowy roads I also needed 4wd. Dacia Jogger is in many ways the best packaged car right now due to its small weight and therefore smaller ecological assprint goes into creating it. Dacia,s are based on previos gen renault cars, which means that at least in european market they have good accupant protection and great body structure for safety since renault was leading the safety tests before 2010. The way these new euro ncap ratings work are 30 percnt nothing to do with chassis strength. third of the safety ratings on Dacia cars in euro n cap safety tests are lost by not having systems like lane change assist that actually cause people into not paying attention in the first place. The main reason why i didn't buy the Jogger instead of a Duster besides the lack of swittchable 4wd was the tiny 1 litre engine. It will easily pull its own weight +two passengers but before buying a 1 litre Jogger I recommend everyone watching a test made by this so called ''car journalist´´ in carwow channel where the Jogger was loaded up with 7 people +luggage. This car failed the hill start when fully loaded! That is what you get when you measure cars efficiency on rolling roads- Truly poor fuel consumption under medium to high loads and high mechanical stress. If jogger would be sold with 1.5 dci engine and variable 4wd it would loose the need for duster. Sadly the best cars in life can not be built due to the ratio of buyers vanity in relation to industries greed but a relatively light hybrid jogger with usable torque will reduce this complete void of sense in todays car industry.

great comment, I would like there is 4x4 dci stepway or at least bigger tci engine with leg in it. but there is no more what customers want, it is now what some agenda tells them to produce (and it's not about green planet).

Great review again! Seems Dacia have come up with a unique category of vehicle and I think it will be very popular. Shame they didn’t release it with a more powerful petrol engine as well this hybrid version. The 1.0L 3 cylinder motorbike engine clearly isn’t up to the job of moving this car about fully loaded so we are pushed in to buying the £24000 hybrid model instead. The 4 cylinder 1.3tce engine in the Duster would have been more sensible surely? I am pretty sure most Dacia customers want things to be as simple as possible-which a hybrid vehicle definitely isn’t!

25000 EUR with VAT in Bulgaria. Few people ordered it and then local vendor informed them that will not be able to deliver the card this year and cannot say anything for sure for 2024. I do not know what is happening with Dacia. Another people are reporting that there was not air filter available for the scheduled yearly maintenance, so they did not change it during the maintenance. That is strange. Air filters are something very common. What could be the reason not to have plenty of them available?

Value of this car is somewhat eroded in Ireland by VRT, etc. Dacia need to be keener on its Ireland pricing. As much as I'd like 7 seats the Corolla estate represents a better buy.

I think Dacia has made a mistake with going down the hybrid route. They are known to run older spec cars which in turn makes for low pricing. By moving quite early into the electric market, they are going to struggle to compete with more established makes. You can forgive current Dacia models for what they don't offer, however when the prices go up it's going to be hard for them to hide. They should stay true to their current customers. Top review view as always.

The current waiting time for a toyota self charging hybrid is 6 months to 1year. This car will be a relief for those looking to buy HEV's. Once you drive a hev you can't go back, the fuel saving is mind blowing and currently it's cheaper to ram them a electric vehicle

Hi I test drove one of these today and are confused. The dealer didn’t explain clearly when asked how do you know when car is being powered by electric. He gave me an answer that I find hard to believe. You only get a mile or so on battery before the petrol kicks in?
@NobbyOnCars
@NobbyOnCars Жыл бұрын
It doesn’t really work with kms of pure electric in mind. Think of it as when the engine doesn’t need to run for power, the battery will drive the car. It is a very small battery but my self charging hybrid standards, it’s a normal size. When the battery is depleted the engine will top it up and the cycle repeats over and over. Yes you could drive for maybe 1km at a constant 30-40kms/hr but it’s better to think of the battery as an assist to the petrol engine not as an EV.

@@justbrowsing7565 go for it, 2 adults and 2 kids are fine, hybrid should have enough juice and space for all. And if kids are young and you do mostly "city" driving it should be good. Just know that if you are heavy you might lose some uphill battles and overtaking's, that's why I am more in favor of strong diesel or petrol engines in cars that are designed for heavier load which Jogger should be. I don't see Jogger as a car for often long drives and especially under load. Definitely when it comes where you live compare its price and safety options due to kids with likes of Skoda Octavia estate or Kia etc. Stay safe man.

Someone was bothered that you didn't mention cars ''full horsepower'' Then I copied a list of different specifications what journalists would have to bring out every time they do a review. if we expect the journalist reading down all technical data then this video would still be in the making. And I actually concluded a car journalists job is to reveal what the buyer can not read from a spreadsheet. The misery of us not getting any lightweight cars is that consumers assess performance of vehicle by buying into maximum horsepower figures,0-62 Nurburgring laptimes etc. I might be an anorak but the fact that I had to explain myself again as clearly as I did the first time makes you a blithering idiot. I actually was trying to complement your reviews and I liked your review of a duster aswell. Goodbye

For me. Too expensive. The Jogger with 1.0 petrol power is a lot less to buy. This gets auto, a fair bit more power, lighter fuel consumption. But it's still the same car. The 1.0 is astounding value for money. This isn't, and it needs to be. It's not quite special enough to sell on any basis other than good value.
