@@kmokatzhi kmokatz, I have a cat that can speak by pressing buttons. She is very smart and has 20 of them. Three of those buttons are "food", "treats" and "pets". And guess what, she does not spam the "food" or "treat" buttons, her favorite button is actually "pets".

My first has always been afraid of humans and after almost 3 years with me and my partner, even if he exposes himself more, he still doesn't want our attention and tends to run away if we are interested in him. The few times he comes to us meowing like hell is when we give him fresh food (pâté, fish, piece of chicken, etc.) but he doesn't ask for it if we don't take the food out first, so he doesn't even try to get it initially. Conversely, our second cat is a ball of love who regularly comes to ask for caresses, kneads us while trying to suckle our hands/noses/chins and often sleeps next to us when we wake up. And, again in opposition to the first, he doesn't meow when fresh food is brought out and calmly waits for it to be served. Note, however, that the first always demands the attention of the second, so in fact he also likes cuddling and playing, but not with humans. This is not surprising because he was neither well weaned nor socialized: he was found abandoned alone aged only 1 month and the staff of the shelter where he was did not try to accustom him to humans. Furthermore, before us his only experience with humans was being caught and taken to the vet to undergo baths to treat the skin problems he had developed while living in the wild. This explains why his trust only goes to other cats.
