From the James Bond film, The Spy Who Loved Me. Donnie Rankin plays, Nobody Does It Better, on the 4/26 Robert Morton Theatre Organ at the Wheaton Fox Studio.
The Wheaton Fox's Robert Morton, contains 26 ranks of pipe work from various builders (mostly Morton, with Kimball, Wurlitzer and Meyer for flavor) all controlled by the beautifully restored Lowe's Kings Wonder Morton Console.
Filmed using a Canon Vixia, audio recorded with a Zoom H2. Video assembled in Adobe Premiere.

A nice arrangement which, in my opinion, is being played basically as written and as Carly Simon once sang it. Makes me wonder why some folks disliked it so much. Maybe they're not old enough to remember Carly Simon.. Each to their own, I guess. Thanks Donnie!

I don't think I have ever heard a better demonstration of the subtleties that a theater organ is capable of! i love the roar and rumble of a theater organ at full voice, but when it is needed, it is a real gift for these types of organ to bring it down to a whisper!

Demonstrates how classy a theatre organ performance can be and showcases what these instruments were designed to do. Superb performance and production, Donnie.

This is truly amazing and I wish more of these magnificent instruments had been preserved. They are expensive to maintain but the sound is evocative of another age. Bravo, young man! Billyjam.

What a magnificent arrangement! Your feel for the music comes through so beautifuly that it is inspirational. The King of instruments is a tempting and powerful vehicle for music. It can easily seduce a musician into playing for it rather than the music. Simple, economical, meaningful music played from the heart packs a powerful and universal massage. And yes I cant' imagine it anybody doing it better. Bravo!

Gorgeous Kimball and Morton strings are put to good use in this arrangement. Bravo, Bravissimo, Donnie! I never really cared for this song untill now. Being a low vocalist, I love that you put the verses in the baritone range.

That's my kind of playing and it's great to hear a more modern piece treated in classic cinema organ style. Bravo! Loved the celeste strings - just used something similar to record a track yesterday. Electronics, not pipes, though! Andy

Very nice rendition Donnie and I liked the registrations. While I don't play, at least not well when I did, there are ties to the "Mighty Mo" at Atlanta's Fox. Theater Organ rules! Best to you and your association with Jelani. RebAl

@ The2010snowday: The organ has been donated to the Loews, Kings Theater restoration project in the Bronx, NY. This instrument is near in size to what was originally installed there in the 1920's but even better is that the console seen in this video is the one originally from there. So, it's making a homecoming after about sixty years!

Not only that, but it's the only Loews Wonder Theatre to have its original console back (one of only two with an organ, as far as I know - the Jersey City has a Wonder Morton, but not its original one).

Well, it doesn't leap up and grab your attention in the way it would do in the hands of e.g. Robert Wolfe - but then perhaps a mellow, sensitive arrangement like this is what the song calls for.

@freshbongwater The organ does have a Wurli Solo Tibia and Brass Sax. Overall, I think it has the finest ensemble sounds of all organs I have played, except maybe Captain's Gallen outside SF. I would like to sample the whole thing and load it onto mine.

I can't answer for sure, but theater organists almost always perform original arrangements. It's part of the art form.
