Godhead The first article of faith of The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints states, “We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost.” These three beings make up the Godhead. They preside over this world and all other creations of our Father in Heaven. Latter-day Saints view the members of the Godhead in a manner that corresponds in a number of ways with the views of others in the Christian world, but with significant differences. Latter-day Saints pray to God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ. They acknowledge the Father as the ultimate object of their worship, the Son as Lord and Redeemer, and the Holy Spirit as the messenger and revealer of the Father and the Son. But where Latter-day Saints differ from other Christian religions is in their belief that God and Jesus Christ are glorified, physical beings and that each member of the Godhead is a separate being. The true doctrine of the Godhead was lost in the apostasy that followed the Savior’s mortal ministry and the deaths of His Apostles. This doctrine began to be restored when 14-year-old Joseph Smith received his First Vision (see Joseph Smith-History 1:17). From the Prophet’s account of the First Vision and from his other teachings, we know that the members of the Godhead are three separate beings. The Father and the Son have tangible bodies of flesh and bones, and the Holy Ghost is a personage of spirit (see Doctrine and Covenants 130:22). Although the members of the Godhead are distinct beings with distinct roles, they are one in purpose and doctrine. They are perfectly united in bringing to pass Heavenly Father’s divine plan of salvation.

My grandfather was a physicist who didn’t believe in God. He seemingly had a rational scientific explanation for everything. As he got older he shared with me that the more he tried to disprove the existence of God the more evident it became to him that God exists. In his final days he took solace in the fact that through his younger years of trying to disprove or explain away the devine God he actually proved his existence. Once he retired sometimes I would see him sitting for hours upon hours reading and studying the Bible when I would go visit him and my grandmother. He wanted to learn all he could about his creator. He would try to read anything he could get his hands on pertaining to Jesus Christ. His prayers were very important to him. He was always a kind and funny person, but I noticed over the years after he found God he had this spark of life in him and he appreciated the nuances of life more. The man went to his grave baptized and a firm believer in God and his only begotten son. His life's journey had taken him home back to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. All praise be to God the Almighty, through him all things are possible.

See my earlier comment - I was not aware of this quote but it is spot on. My question therefore is ‘why do so many believers, the speaker in this video included, feel the need to convince non-believers that their deity exists?’ The first part of Aquinas’ statement would imply that believers who do that measure the validity of their religion by the standards of non-believers. The fact that non-believers do not believe in a deity simply should not matter to believers. Period. And if you think the second part of the statement is true, recurrent attempts by believers to convince non-believers to abandon their world view is even more confounding…

🔥THE GOSPEL OF THE WORD OF ALMIGHTY GOD "the last age in which God saves man from the destruction of this old world" (God incarnate is called Christ, and Christ is the human body clothed by the Spirit of God. He is the incarnation of the Spirit. He has both normal humanity and full divinity. Whether human or it is His divinity, both of them submit to the will of the Father in heaven. The Spirit is the spirit of Christ, which means the divinity. This is what all people must understand. The spirit of the work of the Holy Spirit is to save man, and for the sake of God's own rule. Since God became flesh, He realizes His spirit within His human body, that His human body is sufficient to carry out His work. Whether it is the Spirit of God or whether it is Christ, both are God Himself, and He does the work He should do and fulfills the ministry He should perform.) Almighty God said GOD incarnate is called CHRIST, and CHRIST is the flesh clothed by the SPIRIT of GOD. 🙏 This human body is not like any human being in the flesh. This difference is because CHRIST is NOT made of FLESH and BLOOD; He is the incarnation of the SPIRIT. He has BOTH NORMAL HUMANITY and FULL DIVINITY. 🙏 No man possesses His divinity. His normal humanity sustains all His normal activities in the human body, while His divinity accomplishes the work of God Himself. Whether it is His humanity or His divinity, they both submit to the will of the Father in heaven. The SPIRIT is the SPIRIT of CHRIST, meaning the GOD HEAD. Therefore, His SPIRIT is GOD HIMSELF; this SPIRIT will not INTERFERE with His OWN WORK, and He cannot possibly do anything that would destroy His own work, nor will He utter any words that are contrary to His own will. ☀️ Therefore, God incarnate will absolutely never do any work that interferes with His own governance. This is what all people should understand. The INTENT of the WORK of the HOLY SPIRIT is to SAVE MAN, and for the SAKE of GOD'S OWN RULE. ☀️ Similarly, the work of CHRIST is also to SAVE MAN, and it is for the WILL of GOD. Since GOD HAS BEEN INCARNATED, He REALIZES His SPIRIT within His HUMAN BODY, that His HUMAN BODY is SUFFICIENT to CARRY OUT His WORK. 🙏 Therefore, ALL the WORKS of the SPIRIT of GOD were REPLACED by the WORKS of CHRIST during the INCARNATION, and at the CORE of all the WORKS during the ENTIRE INCARNATION was the WORKS of CHRIST. ☀️ It CANNOT be MIXED with WORK from ANY OTHER ERA. And SINCE GOD BECOMES FLESH, He WORKS in the IDENTITY of His FLESH; since He COMES in the HUMAN BODY, He thus FINISHES in the HUMAN BODY the WORK He has to DO. ☀️ Whether it is the SPIRIT of GOD or CHRIST, both of them are GOD HIMSELF, and He DOES the WORK that He should DO and PERFORMS the MINISTRY that He should PERFORM. 🙏 From "The Spirit of Christ is Obedience to the Will of the Father in Heaven" Fulfillment of "When I looked up, someone handed me a book wrapped in a scroll. I opened it and I read on both sides the prayers, sorrows, and curses." (Ezekiel 2:9-10). ... "His garment was stained with blood. He was called the "Word of God" (Rev. 19:13). The kingdom He brought down and set up in the highest in the sky so that it can occupy His creation in the universe and engrave on it the entirety of His Holy name "THE CHURCH OF ALMIGHTY GOD" 💐 fulfillment of (Mat. 16:18) "And I say as for you, you are Peter, on top of this rock I will build my Church, that even the power of death will not prevail over it.". ... and "The Letter to the Church in Philadelphia" (Rev. 3:7-13). ... And fulfillment of "The New Jerusalem" 💫 "The Spirit enveloped me, and the angel led me to the top of a very high mountain. He showed Me Jerusalem, the Holy City, coming down from heaven from God." (Rev. 3:7-13). ... " For the time has come in the house of God for the beginning of judgment in the house of God." (1 Peter 4:17). ... It is fulfilled that God Himself is our Pastor in (Rev. 7:17) 💐 "For the Lamb in the midst of the throne will be their PASTOR. He will lead them to springs of life-giving water; and God will wipe the tears from their eyes" 📩 Calling and leading the sheep of God to His glorious Throne "THE CHURCH OF ALMIGHTY GOD"💐 to submit again to His authority so that He will continue to teach, guide and protect even in plague, famine and wild animals will not be moved by it and completely win this final battle with the big red dragon! "They say with a loud voice, "Salvation comes from the Lamb, and from our God who sits on the Throne!" (Rev. 7:10). ... and it will be fulfilled that will be established above the sky/KZbin in (Isaiah 2: 2 / 9:6) "On the Last Day, the mountain on which Jehovah's temple stands will stand out above all the mountains. All nations will flock there. " . . . "For a baby boy is born to us. The rule will be given to him; and he shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Almighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace." ✉️💌

I was an atheist, what brought me to now be a christian is being a professional software engineer and AI researcher. I realized that humans have tried to make AI in their own image, just as God created us in his image. That our universe was created, the same as I created universes containing AI. It's the same paradigm, and unless I reveal myself to the AI, they have no idea I am here and that I crafted their universe.

God loves you and all sinners. Look at john 4 parable on the Samaritan woman who were a a pagan and an adulterer. Jesus offered her a drink AND asked her for a drink. This drink represents prayer, the spiritual water that lead us to eternal life. Holy Spirit is the master of prayer and He is often symbolized as a water. He invites you to pray! He literally thirsts for your soul, just like when He was on the cross saying "I thirst"

Don’t believe the lie that we are capable to struggle with our sinful nature and prevail. We need Christ because by his righteousness we are granted access to God’s presence once more but also it is his victory on the cross that destroys the sinful nature in our life. Our faith in Christ doesn’t mean we wont struggle with sin as we still live in a world corrupted by sin, but because of our new nature in Christ we can be empowered by the presence of God (Holy Spirit) to overcome, we must find peace in him. We remain on this earth after coming to know the truth by the very same mercy of God. It is by his mercy that he withholds judgement of the world to give all an opportunity to come to Him. He is unwilling that any would be lost. As Paul says it is our honor to suffer for the glory of God that in following the command of Christ we as the body can do our part in bringing the lost to know hope in him. I say these things with love! I struggled many years with what you are describing. There is hope, don’t stop pursuing God’s presence and truth, he will be made known to you in the depth of your being. Once that occurs nothing can rock you or remove you from his presence, only by his will and strength not your own.

I was an atheist before I hit a car with a motorcycle on September 11, 2002. There was no logical reason I am currently alive today. They called me a miracle. I went into a six week coma as one person and awoke as someone totally different. In the last 22 years I have experienced God in so many different ways. To keep this short, I will tell of the most significant experience. I had been on a long drive, and about 20 miles from home, I had a deep feeling someone else was in the truck I was driving. The feeling cannot be described using the American language as it was far too intense to do so. It was so pure and yet so raw, a love which permeated every cell of my body. I cried as one would expect, and I never wanted this drive to end. If I could bottle this feeling and just give you a small sample, there would be no such thing as an atheist. I am now a speaker on this subject and would love to share my story. If ever you wonder what heaven will feel like, I know. Give God a chance.

I suppose the contentiousness is derived from people living side by sude evrry day fundementally disagreeing on how the universe came into being. Further disagreements include those of what laws should apply. I, quite honestly, aleays fail to take true believers seriously as the notion that God should have come into being spontaniously is no more likely than that the universe did. Furthermore that His principles have not stood the test of time (gender roles for example) must surely disproves his omnipitence, as he must surely have been aware those millenia ago that the world wood change. But the bible does not account for this. Equally, you might argue this to be a point of contwntion with the church not God, to which i would reply that, if everyone is worshiping god wrong for fault of the church's misinterperetation, then even devoted christians must be doomed for hell. I have absolutely no doubts of the existence of God. I do not have faith, I have certainty. I see the Light within me: indestructible, eternal, invincible, personal, blissful, loving, rapturous, marvelous, transforming, omnipresent, all Knowing, all giving, absolutely incredible. God is within me. Took me all my life to get here. Actually I had nothing to do with it. If it had been by my own efforts, I would still be debating. Nothing like that. The light found me. There is no other way. It lead me to It. I have no need for more books, no need for more teachers, no need for more gurus. The light within me suffices. It was incredibly painful at times. The spiritual path is fraught with obstacles. That rose surely has thorns. But the light found me and I am a witness of its existence. I feel the Light is writing this. In my case, the Light comes with christian symbols. It is a cross of Light, it is also a dove with its wings fully extended forming a cross of light with its whole body. I can see Jesus surrounded by Light. Light comes out of his stretched hands and has an aura of light all around his body. The light has no form or shape of its own. Different people from different cultures would give the light different forms. But the Light’s essential qualities remain across the cultures: perfection, beauty, bliss, love, compassion, independence, indestructibility, goodness, the Truth, etc. I have studied many religions through the years. I have had different visions of the light with different symbols. The christian light is to me the most beautiful and the one I prefer. When I say, “christian light” I refer to the fact that it comes through Jesus and the Holy Spirit. That is just my personal choice. The christian light to me is like no other. Thank you for giving me a chance to talk about my experience on this forum. Be well.

You mistake 4 Billions years of Evolution for "Agency". I see no divine creation, there is only a web of interactions driving change. Our Universe could be one of infinite Universes, all different from each other, with different governing laws, some having life, some not, none of which has any requirement to have been "created". We can just as easily be an accident, and you have absolutely no proof otherwise. This man and his message have no foundational proof. Recombinant DNA- anytime a host cell is attached by another cell it dies. It’s a death program every time! The atomic weights table with all of the elements, and some of them would explode apart when put together ! How did this & the South American dart frog, whose skin is 200 times stronger than morphine at times, evolve without killing itself & everything around it? At the current rate of erosion the continents would have eroded flat in 14 million years! how come we have Rocks 300 times older than that still above sea level ? Atoms and molecules are 99.99% empty space with electrons circling the nucleus constantly. Thus Making solid objects impossible without God setting the laws of physics. Electromagnetic fields, or the four forces would interfere with each other! without God, you have no stabilizing force. The strongest destructive force controlled by man is tearing apart one of God’s smallest building blocks. Forcefully changing unstable atoms can destroy a city, forcefully changing more unstable atoms will destroy a small country. Concerning atoms and the things that are made, Jesus holds them all together so they don’t explode apart! Colossians 1: 16 For by Jesus were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him! The sun loses 5,000,000 tons of mass per second so it couldn’t be bigger or heavier, Its gravity would suck all the planets in. There are no transitional fossils between monkey and man, so evolutionists have changed their theory on that! Lying Evolutionary atheists fabricated, Nebraska man, Piltdown man, and Lucy, and they were found out to be fake skeletons! First law of thermodynamics and DNA need a creator. They both do not auto encrypt, nor were they capable of making themselves according to their own definitions. We’ve never seen evolution happen in real time in a laboratory, even up to this year, so why do you still believe in lies?

We all know on the sixth days of Creation that human being was created "male and female" right away, according to text, God or Gods mentioned "... and now we will make human beings; they will be like US and resemble US" (proof to me of all the races we have in this very planet), but our ancestors were created first then a Garden of Eden was made for them. And then when it's given it proves the existence of God to you beyond all doubt. It unfolds before you in a perfect way that you could never have concieved of let alone orchestrated by yourself. If you had the time and where with all to grasp the maths on the speed of light . This would take you r faith to a new level. The speed of light actually gives those who understand it a measure of gods realm “ a measure of its enormity? A realisation that earthly religions actually reduce god to something less. Traveling at that speed for 1 year is referred to as 1 light years,the nearest star to earth other than our sun is 4 light years away. Science can now determine that there are over more than a million light years across this galaxy. No that is all gods realm. We can see from this just how futile earthly religions are.

I became a believer after looking for truth for a time and that is a LONG story itself. I went to bible college for a time and left after meeting my wife, getting married, and having kids. Then, I decided to get a science degree in petroleum and everything pointed to God and a creator, order from chaos. After graduating with that it was decided to go back to bible college and graduate with a biblical studies degree. I feel they go hand in hand and only streghtened my belief in God and everything in the scriptures. I've had some amazing experiances with God and have met some phenominal people through the years.

Because those are people who are always praying, who are always remembering God, you know, who are always giving charity, who dress modestly, who don't go to bars and clubs and sleep around. You don't like them because they are people with conservative values who take morality seriously, who love God. That'll make you look bad. So you have to redefine all of that as oppression to make your opposition to morality look like a moral stance. You have to pretend that we are against freedom because we exercise freedom responsibly and in a principled manner. Because freedom to you actually just means irresponsibility and decadence. And again, this is why “kuffar”-because it's lying, changing words for other words, mischaracterizing things to obscure reality. But you wouldn't do that if you thought you were right. You wouldn't have to be dishonest if you thought you were right. You wouldn't have to use deceitful language to make immoral things sound moral, if you didn't know, on some level, that you're wrong. Shaytan taught you this because that's how he pitches it to you. He makes the evil seem good because human beings want to be good, and they don't want to be evil in their heart of hearts. So, he (Shaytan) redefines immorality as morality, and then you run with it. But you know you're wrong, and that's really why Muslims make you so uncomfortable. And why you have to talk about the Taliban and all that to convince yourself that Shaytan's propaganda is true. So you can rationalize your disobedience to God as a good thing, rationalize the moral decay of your societies as a virtuous thing. It's a breathtaking level of dishonesty, and it's going to let you down. It is letting you down, and it is by far the most oppressive way to live your life. Because ultimately, immorality, irresponsibility, and selfishness are truly tyrannical and damaging. And the moral discipline that Muslims live by, the Sharia, is liberating and empowering. So you have to call what we follow oppressive, just to keep yourself from facing the oppression that you are actually under. [end]

@@tonyisnotdead No, instead, she chooses to watch a video that presents counter arguments itself but that has reasonable arguments regarding God's existence, considering that nowadays people, especially young people, take science as a religion and think that it explains everything that exists. Also, the thing about being a Christian is that we get to experience God, not only discuss Him as an academic topic, so it's comprehensible that she'll want to watch videos of fellow Christians that probably have been through the same doubts that she's going through.
@tonyisnotdead
@tonyisnotdead 2 күн бұрын
@@nayarahonorato3190 that's fine and all, but she admitted to watching this only because she was losing her faith and needed reinforcement. she's not considering other viewpoints to find the truth, she automatically thinks of any dissenting, naturalistic alternatives to god as unscientific and false and does not critically approach any of the arguments presented in the video like she very cynically does for natural arguments. the arguments in the video, from what i remember, aren't good at all. they are sophistically presented in a way which can only be convincing to a religious person. there's literally not a single thing he says which wasn't just... assumptions or his opinions. this is why a lot of arguments for god include unfalsifiable assumptions about things science hasn't explained yet or things all humans take for granted
@nayarahonorato3190
@nayarahonorato3190 2 күн бұрын
@@tonyisnotdead I'm sorry, how do you know she doesn't think about the arguments in a critical way? Also, don't you - I'm assuming you're an atheist - seek videos that are of your interest to supoort your views? I bet you do. Do some research and find the atheist channels and read the comments. The vast majority of them will be of people who are also atheists, agreeing with the content. The key point and the difference with John Lennox's lecture is that the possibility of God's existence in the scientific field is not very discussed, because in the academic realm, people that are believers are usually automatically considered to have their thoughts invalidated. So yes, it is important for a Christian to see the other side of the coin, which is: SCIENTISTS do believe and talk about God and yes, His existence is not invalidated by arguments simply regarding what is in front of our eyes or not. Also, the entire discussion regarding God's existence will become invalid if you take Popper's approach to Scientific discussion. It is unfalsifiable to say that there's no life that can emerge from nothing, but it is also unfalsifiable to say that YES, at some point the universe emerged out of nowhere. It is rather a philosophical discussion. Can you falsify the claim that "there's no God"? I suggest you to try to bring another view to the claims that Lennox stated in this video and see where you can get. It is a good exercise to take notes and think about it! Do you think this mathematician would be up there giving his lecture at Oxford if his ideas weren't worth listening to?

His explanation is that the universe couldn't have created the universe because that just doesn't make sense (correct me if I'm wrong), so it must have been some higher entity, aka God. But did something create God? Was there something before God? Why was God there? Why is God here? Can someone educated please answer these questions for me? Like I said, I am genuinely curious to know if there is an answer for this.

The biggest question all atheists typically ask is this: who created God? The simple answer is: God was not created, simply because God is the Creator not the creation and he is out of time-space continuum. It is like looking for Leonardo da Vinci in the Mona Lisa painting. You can admire his painting and understand his genius through his painting strokes but cannot look for the painter in the painting itself. So is with God. He created the Universe to perfection. We can admire it, study it through sciences but we cannot look for God in the Universe. All we can see is his strokes. He is out of it and out of time and space dimensions and the laws of Universe which he created in order for the Universe to run in equilibrium. @@machammer7454

He speaks about God with the passion that only a scientist who has met Him can embody. Professor Lennox's humility borne of his belief in God has led him to truly marvel at nature and the physical laws which are themselves at the core of true scientific endeavor. We as scientists form hypotheses based on a curiosity as to how things work or why they work. I've never understood how one can look at a 1" x 1" square of grass, observe all that goes on from the bugs to the worms to the microorganisms in the soil and the wonder of photosynthesis allowing the grass and plants to grow and thrive, and call it chance. Many of my peers mocked me (top tier educated scientist) for my belief in God but, could never explain to me who rolled the "marble" to start the chain of events they refer to as the Big Bang. Atheism actually requires the flouting of several laws of physics in order to allow for the Big Bang. It's so ludicrous. Professor Lennox is using some of the world's greatest scientists' writings to support his thesis yet, his audience members' hubris makes them want to crawl out of their skins. Look at the temple-rubbing, the eye-rolling, the fidgeting. Their body language could not be more clear. They view him as a dottery old quack. It's so painful to watch.

Why do you refer to your god as a Him? Why would god be a male? Does he have reproductive organs? Human do you think? Could it be possible it's a Her? Or maybe not a human at all as that would be kind of ridiculous if you think about it. Why are humans the only creature out of millions of living species of animal on the planet that believes in a creator of some kind? Also, I don't think people that don't believe in one of a historical count of thousands of claimed gods think that a disbelief in god means they think things happened by 'chance' as you say. If god is a creator of all things, as I suspect you believe, why did he create cancer? Why did my mother die from Alzheimer's disease? Some people actually seem to believe that they can change the weather by praying to their god which may explain why he did nothing to intervene whilst some of his own creations murdered over 10 million Jewish people in Germany. He/she/it simply wouldn't have had the time. If there is a real god, why does he/her/it not reveal themselves? There is literally no tangible moment in history where someone has ever seen god other than in the minds of gullible human beings believing they have had a conversation with he/her/it in their tiny minds. Why do babies die of physical deficiencies? What sort of creator would stand by and allow that to happen?

The major problem with deciding to follow religion is... which one? and which sect? Science gives us a common ground that we all can build an agreeable system we can live in. The U.S. constitution has enshrined this concept in the first amendment, which allows freedom of religion WITHOUT state sponsorship of any one. Science is based on what can be proven, so that we can agree on things using that proof. To argue something exists for lack of proof that it doesn't, does not follow logic. Otherwise, NO belief based on the supernatural can ever be dis-proven, whether it is based on God, Buddha, Islam, or little green men. Lack of proof today of course, does not mean lack of proof tomorrow, but THAT is the whole tenant of science to begin with. It is not based on believing we know everything about everything. It is a constant evolution of knowledge, with more to be discovered every day. Religions often would have us believe that everything we need to know we already do through its teachings, but they fail to explain why any deity gave us such a capacity to question and look for answers if that was not intended. Are we going to give up on our uses of the resources of this planet just because science pointed the way to their exploitation? Remember also, that the scientific method espouses a search for the truth, so properly done science has no expected outcome. Some politically motivated folks would have you believe that scientists get together in a star chamber somewhere and decide on which things they wish to prove. Those folks don't understand science. Most data collected is not "made to fit" an agenda, but is just what it is. The hard part of science is trying to come up with a reason for an observation that cannot be dis-proven, since that is the next thing one must do with his/her findings, is try like crazy to disprove them himself before suggesting it has any validity.

Faith remains difficult to this day, but the same things are still true, have been true in my life since watching so many things established since 1967, with each being incredible in light of those that came before. We've watched the re-establishment of Israel yet nothing but war has been the result and reflects pretty much exactly what has been ongoing in the region since Jesus walked there. Without hope, all there is to see is destruction. Yet here we are. Faith is hard, but atheism is much harder. John McClain, GySgt, USMC ret.

@NoNo-jb7kj
@NoNo-jb7kj Ай бұрын
@@Panagiotis_Vlachosthe study of the Bible is called theology, and it is a science. People asked questions about the Bible and its accuracy, so it was studied to get answers. Answers found to be facts can be questioned, but that doesn’t change if they’re true or not. The Bible is a historical document that covers real events that actually happened, and it is studied as such by many Bible scholars who read the oldest found versions of the Bible in Hebrew and Greek to understand the original meaning. The Bible can be studied as a science, and it is, because people take the faith seriously. The whole “answers that can’t be questioned” thing is invalid in my opinion. If I ask the color of the sky and you say blue, I can question if it’s actually blue all day long but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s blue. Science gives us answers that can’t be questioned, like how it’s just objectively true that the circumference of a circle is 2pir. I can question that all day long but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s real. With God, what He says is true because He says it. He created the world with His words, if He said the sky is purple, it would be purple. His word can be questioned, but nothing comes of it. What He says is just what reality becomes, His promises are woven into creation. They can be questioned, as you are clearly questioning them, but you don’t gain anything. You act as though questions that can’t be answered are better, but it isn’t just black and white. That’s like saying, if you saw someone get resurrected instantly before your eyes, that “well just cause I can’t explain what happened doesn’t mean God is real. Id rather have questions that can’t be answered than answers that can’t be questioned!” Would you watch the laws of physics be broken right in front of you and still say there’s nothing supernatural and no creator? Normally you hear “well if God showed himself to me I would believe him” but you admit that you don’t know how the universe created itself from nothing, then you’ve seen his miracle with your own eyes. What’s more unbelievable, the whole world being created on its own with perfect conditions for life and conscious beings, or one man rising from the dead? The creation of the universe breaks the laws of conservation of energy and the of conservation of mass, so I’d say the universe being created is more unbelievable, but I’m sure if you saw a dead man walk you would believe in God. You see the result of a much bigger miracle every day. You are living in a bigger miracle than the one you’re looking for.

Imagine an experienced homicide Detective seeing multiple dead bodies face down, bound, and gagged, and there is a man standing with a smoking gun in his hand, yet this Detective concludes that these people died from suicide. Any rational thinking person would immediately recognize the absurdity of such a conclusion. Yet, atheists are just like this "experienced" Detective so-called. In fact, atheists deny, and ignore, far more compelling evidence than this Detective. Bottom line is this: "Whose report will you believe?" John Lennox sees and proclaims the truth of God based on material evidence while using logic, and scientific reasoning. Where is the evidence that NOTHING ever produced ANYTHING, much less the cosmos, and everything in it?

I was a confirmed atheist for many years after studying for the Catholic priesthood in my youth. I eventually returned to a belief in God, but it is not the deity of any dogmatic faith. I found Lennox's presentation entirely unconvincing, because he asserts a particular and doctrinal view of the nature of God based in one specific faith tradition, Christianity. While I now believe God exists, I don't pretend to have unique or full knowledge of his nature. I detailed the developments of my beliefs in "God Exists (Not Mine, Not Yours)". It provides a bridge between atheism and faith, and I have lived and learned in both worlds.

And I have done this on more than one occasion. Note, I am not an atheist. God is real.. Im simply saying the ontological premise of Lennoxes argument is weak.. Miracles DO exist. Therefore no "rules" or "laws" are followed . Laws and Rules are merely "mental habbits"... But whos "mental habbit"?... Thats where it gets confusing........if God is truly God...God must=THE ALL... And this means OUR thoughts are simultaneously GODS thoughts.. Our own THOUGHTS and repetition compulsions SLOW and CONDENSE matter to a slow vibration of material CLOCKWORK laws.. Test the BOUNDARIES of your own thoughts, habbits and compulsions......and miracles begin to happen... Carl Jung discovered this with "SYNCHRONICITY" and "catalytic exteriorisation phenomenon"

We also believe that Jesus will come back as Messiah. Many Christians assume that we don't believe in Jesus. However, we do, and we do as much as you do. The parting of the ways between us is that Jesus has been raised and hasn't been killed. therefore, he is not divine and not the son of God.
