I live in wester montana and everyone one always talks about going after the big ones from drift boats but I personally have the most fun when I fish the small tributarys. There's just something special about being able to walk the whole creek and catching native cut throat and the occasional small bull trout (don't worry I'm not targeting them). I've also found that fish in the small creeks tend to be more aggressive meaning big foam dry flies nearly year round.

My friends and I fish a small stream in eastern CA. Too early and its a raging torrent, too late and it puddles, but hit it right and the small brookies are awesome. When we hook a small one on the backcast we swing it over our head and put in back in the pool. We call them helicopter trout

Being from Maine I love brook trout, but its a shame to see such a beautiful native cut throat stream infested with them. This is why I make a habit out of keeping non natives in any body water that I know holds native fish. The study site was probably to do research on those cutthroat. good thing that water fall is there or they would be lost, those wouldn't happen to be greenbacks?

Hey peeps. Remember to like and comment, to get a HUUUGE share for Ben Huge. Question - I am an artist, inventor, fly tyer, fly fisherman and creative in many ways. But I simply don't have the brain to run a company bt my self. I've been considering trying to crowd fund the money for the paper works and a secretary (just to remind me of th things, my PTSD brain can't remember by it self) and for patents. The problem is, you can't show or tell anything about a product, before you send in the aplication (I have been through all that once 12-15 years ago, where bad luck fooked things up, and I lost the danish patent rights by not paying for years 4 and 5). If anyone has any good advide on how, I could convince people to take a chance on unknown products, I would looove to hear about it. Have a huuuge day.
