I also think that unlearning lifelong behaviors, patterns, ways of perceiving the outside world, your own inside world etc takes more time then taking/ learning them from childhood.. They were a part of the old persona.. creating a new more adaptive healthy persona takes time , repetition, patience, selfcare, selflove.. And like you said Dan : the symptoms will shift as the end result of this whole process.. Have a great time with your mom and family ❤🎉

This one hit the spot for me and I know I'm getting there, slowly, but surely. When you were talking about belief, I was reminded of the old saying,'If you think you can't, you can't. If you think you can, you can. Either way, you're right'. Thank you, Dan. This one was a gem.

Wish I could use my imagination positively with regards to the what ifs. Serious sinus issues eyeball felt like it'd burst. Where did I go, down the maybe it's a brain tumour! Seriously. Well today that eye so much better. The other side feels inflamed 🙄and a headache to boot. So much outside stress re probate etc and it's bringing up traumatic stuff. I need that conversation with myself "you know why this is happening, it's not dangerous" etc etc. I need to break free from these shackles . thanks for the message 🙏

Dealing with probate & the court system is so stressful. It digs up painful memories. In addition, the court & the players involved are just not fair & lie. Just focus on in visioning after it's all over & done with. Let go of wanting to control the situation.

All my bloodwork was fine . Today started feeling crappy again. It’s a marathon not a sprint. So much to learn and so much to unlearn but I HAVE to do this.

@@1STBUCKLEY Sorry, that's not right, and it does disservice to those with heart, lung and blood vessel damage due to covid. These are not anxiety issues, these are demonstrable on MRI and angiogram. I've had physical effects from 2020, and fear had nothing to do with it. I was a fit strong working individual, with no health concerns until post March 2020. I'm fortunate, I'm not having to use supplemental oxygen. Unless you have personal experience it's not really appropriate to counsel others about theirs.

Hi Jelmer. Your name sounds like you're Dutch, just like me. I'm also retraining my brain to get rid of severe post-covid symptoms and I have the same question as you. How can we retrain our brain, making steps forward and prevent ourselves from having huge setbacks that damage our faith in the process.

Are used to have really bad fibromyalgia amongst other things now I mostly deal with facial nerve pain and TMJ. But Thanksgiving evening I did some thing I haven’t done in a long time I worked on my neck my arms and my back with a tennis ball. The next day I woke up in so much pain like old time fibromyalgia aching everywhere couldn’t even move my neck it was a disaster. So I’ve been into this 2 Mos now, What did I do? I said oh well it’ll go away I didn’t panic I just spent the day relaxing and sang out every time I moved but in a laughingly kind of way knowing it wasn’t going to last. And I’m telling you I could barely move. It was like my body was saying oh you think you’re so smart with all this TMS stuff I’ll show you. But instead I laughed about it, Didn’t get worried didn’t panic today it’s 100% gone. So who knows was it a fluke I don’t know.
@PainFreeYou
@PainFreeYou Ай бұрын
Perceived danger is likely why the symptoms flared so much. Treating your body showed your brain that the body was the cause of symptoms. The brain got frightened. Your calm response and not panicking is exactly why the pain turned off. Danger turned it all on. Safety turned it off. Proof your body is not the problem.

Thanks! Dan I was perfect for 3 months and got my digestive issues and started monitoring how long it will go away in this flare up! And became more fearful as over 3 weeks this didn’t go away! This time pressure doesn’t work in flare up. But watching my diary made me feel good as I wrote all about my symptom free days 1 month ago. What’s your take on sleep? Sometimes I get more pain during sleep as my subconscious is stronger then my present and I can’t control it, any tips?

Hello Dan , how do you explain the impacts of weather on pain , I think my pain get worse when weather gets more cold or extreme heat
@PainFreeYou
@PainFreeYou Ай бұрын
Weather is viewed as a danger or threat so symptoms increase. However, it is not really harmful and doesn't hurt the body. It's a false perception of danger.

Hi Dan, feels like this message was for me :) So, one question... if the lyme herbs got me from 10% to 80% and the the progress stopped... does it mean that i I want to get to 100%, I have to stop the herbs? I already decided this is TMS, but there is still that little doubt... due to the horrible symptoms, it is too scary for me to risk to go off the herbs... Would decreasing them help or I just have to go off? What would you advise? (Of course I will do as I will feel like :))
@PainFreeYou
@PainFreeYou Ай бұрын
I'm not a doctor, nor do I know much about your situation. Whether you take herbs or not, you CAN get to 100%. TEACH the brain that you are already well. Consistent safety will get it done. There's nothing to fix.

And sadly, the more you avoid sound, the more you reinforce the brains perception that sound is dangerous. Do you have clarity that this is all a mindbody condition? How are you consistently conveying safety and that you will get better?
@sgtsmokey6847
@sgtsmokey6847 Ай бұрын
I'm trying to have clarity that it's mind-body syndrome, but I'm finding it difficult after my setback from exposure to more sound. I reassure myself it's MBS and I try to get on with what I can at the moment. I've also started somatic tracking and some mindfulness. I think a big problem for me is I was on the forums for a long time and the people there refuse to believe it can be the brain causing this. They all say it's nerve damage. And that some have tried a brain approach and got alot worse. I know I'm terrified I just want my life back. @PainFreeYou
