I forgot about this amazing guy , 5 years ago I was living in NJ I started having panick attacks and got Gastritis ! Oh boy , let me tell you I couldn’t eat anything because I would bloat immediately and it will trigger a panick attack shm , I was scared of dinner times when meals were larger . Fast forward ⏩ this guy thought me this very same approach , emotions and thoughts without before my dinner were the worst , so I had to start with eating small portions and use some logic .every day was less bloating and more reassurance till anxiety leaves I didn’t even notice when I ate a full meal because there were no negative thoughts . 5 years later I’m almost under the same problem but this time my chest it’s irritated from acid reflux and eveytime I eat I feel like my food will stay there and choke me shm , it’s been 3 days since I found this video again and I started to eat and have less fear , and eat little more with more confidence .

I think positive thinking and gratitude is great - but toxic positivity is not. No one will be upbeat every second of every day, but in some self help groups or even some brain retraining groups/programs this is being promoted. When a certain program tells me to interrupt every thought I have in the day that isn't "good" or "positive" I find it difficult to cope, it then feels like I am trying to "fix myself" all day. Your approach suits me much better. I actually tried a TMS approach years ago, but because of the approach I mentioned I couldn't cope and gave up on the whole tms idea. Everything happens for a reason and here I am, nearly 3 years later - recovering and doing the work however, without all the rigidity and without trying to stop every thought I have in the day.

I truly believe we can THINK ourselves sick by taking our negative thoughts as truthful. My mom thought herself mentally ill by putting all her negative thoughts on repeat.. I was judged by her for always bringing in a more positive scenario.. negative thoughts often go back to resentment, and clinging on to dramatic situations.. Nowadays I view a negative thought: is this bringing me safety, is this helpful to be happy/to recover? Mostly it isn’t, so I let go of engaging in them, like you say Dan.. I’m really Thinking myself healthy and recovered ❤

Thank you for this. My thinking is my downfall. I get so anxious before an event (like meeting people!) and my thoughts run wild about all the horrible things that could happen. I get dizzy and faint. I am planning a trip to my homeland, England, in 4 weeks and am paranoid about the airport and all the crowds. I am going to try really hard to use your tools. I have "visions" of being in a crowded elevator, or bus and have a panic attack, which has happened before.

Towards the end of the video you talked about someone who had chemical sensitivities. I was starting to head in that direction thinking that might fix my ‘problem’ but hate the thought of becoming so wound up with a long list of foods I should not eat. Dan all the safety works and seeing it at just TMS will work even if I’m taking meds? I’m taking lyrica for nerve/burning pain… which does not cover the entire pain, taking lexapro for anxiety/depression (as a way to break the pain cycleand trazodone to sleep…I’ve developed imsomnia All the pain came 4 months ago after very complicated C-section which required a second surgery 10 days after due to a pelvic infection… when I got home the following week I started developing chronic low back pain, now has also been paresthesia, dysesthesias, burning on skin at the contact of clothes or pressure…. They say all mri are ok and the nerve tests… So I’m still experiencing a lot of symptoms and meds are not it.. Will this approach work even if I’m on meds? TIA for the response

Just read steveO s book about visualisation and him noticing what nasty images he had off his back and replacing them with positive healthy images made him heal. How do you see this with regards to thoughts. I notice when i am imagining healthy images the images with damage show up. Is it same here? Just let them be and is it still a good thing to even visualize a healthy body? Or is this still engaging?

I really liked that in one of your recent videos, you said you can respond with ‘oh well’ instead of ‘oh no!’ We are told we have to repeatedly bat away thoughts and replace them when actually we only have to stop paying so much attention to them. Nothing to live for. Nothing to hope for. 999-trillion oceans of despair and grief. Rage rapes me. I feel suicidal. I don't breathe. I am submerged in frozen darkness. My soul silently wails. I have nobody. I'm all alone. Desperately. Lonely. Filled with anguish and terror. I can only pray to die. I don't know what else to pray for. All I feel is misery and desperation.
