Elden Ring dares to ask: "Would'st thou still loveth me if me thineselfe was a worm?"
@moonlightning82695 күн бұрын
Mentioning a bunch of random things without explaining their connections, constant random tangents that give whiplash and make it hard to follow what the current topic even is, dropping wild baseless theories without elaborating… Perfect Elden Ring lore video, because the best lore vids are the ones that feel like either ramblings of a madman or like the bestowal of blasphemous esoteric knowledge

One of the most interesting places in the DLC is the Stone-Coffin Fissure. It is the ONLY place in the DLC where the rock worms return, and even has a new variant of them, the laser shooting ones. Given their obvious association with evergaols, and the very purple atmosphere of the Fissure, is the Fissure just one big evergaol?
@jenny_azoth4 күн бұрын
pretty much, and it's Trina's burial site! it's a lot like how there's an evergaol gating off the Haligtree, isn't it? i'm probably going to revisit it when i go over blue/purple (silver) and touch on it briefly in the red/gold video as well
@nickpottermusic3 күн бұрын
Given how some of the coffins/boats are half stuck into the walls and impossibly located, I wonder if they arrived via portals aka purple coded magic in ER. It's like they started sailing through a portal/purple Evergaol fissure (where the bosses emerge from) and then it closed on them halfway through.

Watching this was like staring long and deep into the eyes of something unknowable. It may have threatened to drive me utterly mad, but I came away with the ragged tatters of my sanity still intact and with fragments of esoteric knowledge that have the smell of eldritch truth. I don't know how you know some of the things you know but good god have you definitely convinced me that you do know them.

@@jenny_azoth Take your time, never thought someone would connect Elden Ring with the self assembly stuff... Actually, now that I think about it, do you think the bell bearings thing is a reference to this? I mean they are implied to house the soul/essence of however they were associated with, like the seed of a person.

I wonder if you play Bloodborne 🤔. The only "worm theory" i have revolves around the spirit jellyfish in the Lands Between and the spirit worms in the Shadowlands. "Water," as with Bloodborne and more, can represent the unconscious mind and/or larger "collective unconscious." I believe the spirit jellyfish continue this theme of the "mind" or "lower mind" being represented by water. The Shadowlands are the repressed negative aspects of the self...blah blah...Carl Jung and shadowwork. Anyways, i always see the spirits worms as representing "digging" through the "dirt" of Marika's soul. But, i see the Kabbalistic Sefirot tree in a lot of things. Bloodborne is also my favorite and i played the Chalice dungeons too much. Sorry to rant! Excited for your channel. Thank you, Dog. You are truly Soulsbornes best friend!

How does Carl Jung relate to this game outside of the fact that you can apply psychology to any "human" story? Because saying "Carl jung shadow work blah blah" doesn't cut it. And I've seen that BS video about Carl Jung in elden ring and it's beyond ridiculous
@Billyboy5973 күн бұрын
@Rooster_Ric I believe part of the Elden Ring mythology is based on medieval Alchemical texts. Jung's "inner work" is a continuation of the "Magnum Opus" of the Alchemists. Jung was basically a shaman at the end of his life, hence the constant references to Jung

This is a great video, but I don't think these rock worms are that mysterious. They are sprites. Gravity sprites, specifically. The Fire Spritestone tells us that there are multiple kinds of sprites, and fire sprites seem to be used to power the giant golems. Why I think these are/contain gravity sprites is because their shell is the color of gravel stone and they have that eye. The eye is a connection to the falling star beasts, and other celestial rock-like beings. Gravel stone is gravity stone - stone with power over gravity and thus time. Like the fire sprites powering the golems, these are near evergaols because their gravity powers stop time for the contained. Also, the evergaols themselves feature an entangled clover in the center. Clover icons can be seen on statues associated with the dragons. The fact that the 'constrained' set of orbs looks and moves just like the worms in confirmation to me. Fantastic find on your part - I would have never made that connect! Also, when the worms attack, they rotate like planets in orbit. And while everything about them screams gravity, I think the sprite connection comes back in when we consider what we unlock these gaols using imp statues - which are from the Rauh culture. The Rauh famously use sprites to power their devices. TLDR: The rock worms are gravity sprites
